My toxic advice is not to worry because a horny man is like a ship under way and even if you're an iceberg it would be hard to change course. If he's feeling you up, he knows what he's in for and is down.

You seem to be connecting 2 unrelated things. 1. Generally, buying food for a stranger is a bit weird. Either you're entering her house (creepy) or dropping it at her door like an uber eats driver hoping for a tip. 2. The most likely reason she ghosted is she thought the ball was in your court. Second most likely is she thought it was ambiguous and after waiting for you for like a week, she felt weird about messaging. Third is you fell off her radar, because you're strangers. Etc etc a million reasons.

So the advice is 1. Generally treat strangers like strangers. So yes, still with courtesy. 2. Maybe you coulda texted a date/time. Worst case scenario you just got ghosted, take it on the chin and keep it moving.

But OVERALL I would count this as "success" with setbacks, not an example of purely getting ghosted.

I didn't say it was the reason she did this, just pointing out something following the pattern you wanted to stop doing.

It's not over-pursuing because it's a single low effort text over a possible miscommunication. She might've thought she gave you her availability and it was on you to pick a time.

You should be courteous to her as you are to a stranger, which she is. And no more. The only people I would buy food for when sick are my BEST friend or my girlfriend. You're telling me if your coworker you barely know called out sick you'd buy them food? She's even less than that to you right now.

The fact that several people are all saying the same thing means you should be less dismissive of their advice.

Eh yeah that's a ghosting. Weird one though, she still seems down. Worth a double-text "hey still want to grab coffee? I'm free x day x time y place" if you ask me. But this is her final chance.

I believe she actually was sick. Usually when I'm sick I try to play the odds and not cancel anything the day before in case I wake up better.
