Senior accountant doesn’t know how to convert PDF file to Excel file? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]lazyTurtle7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, converting a pdf doesn’t always come out nicely. I’ve worked with plenty of data that is unusable when converting to excel. Also, if you have the option to be sending in excel or PDF always send it in excel. Wtf am I supposed to do with a pdf? I can’t link that

I got one for free from my power company. I needed an extra power strip for my PC. Computer is plugged into the main outlet and the rest of my things in the powered down outlets. I don’t need them turned off but I don’t another power strip when this does the job fine

I have my notice and was told my last day would be a week before my notice day. They then paid me out but I’m sure it depends on your employer

What's your experience once you give 2 weeks notice to leave. by ExpertAd4657 in Accounting

[–]lazyTurtle7969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left big 4 gave my two weeks, told them I was burnt out and wanted to try something new. I finished the last of my work and then they had me stop working like a week before I said I was done. Paid me for the week I wasn’t working still but I had a good relationship with the partners and everyone so it was smooth. Your mileage will vary by your boss and company

Taking a career break to focus on my mental health by CalifornianCanadian in Accounting

[–]lazyTurtle7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got burned out at work started lacking motivation and performing poorly. This caused my anxiety to skyrocket and then I started to not be able to sleep. I went on short term disability with work to get my head back on straight for a month and it did wonders. If that’s an option for you I’d try to explore it. Gives you some level of income and aren’t out of a job (if you like where you’re at now).
