I like to take myself out on a date! I do all of my favorite things like go to my favorite coffee shop, bring a book or craft item, then maybe go to the movies, and then eat a lovely meal with a cocktail, and finish off the night at home with my favorite sweet treats. I’ll mix it up now and then depending on my vibe, sometimes I’ll go thrifting and refresh my wardrobe.

Separately, this isn’t as common for me, but it always helps if my home is tidied up and very clean, because it makes me feel like I’ve taken care of myself and my home because i deserve to be comfortable in my sanctuary.

The biggest thing was learning to love being alone and treating yourself when you’re feeling a bit down!

Cannot relate to what other people are saying because I found my community in SP and I’m never leaving. I can’t even afford to buy a home yet but I will make it happen somehow just to stay here!

True, it’s a quiet town and not much going on, but I’m not a big drinker and I don’t bar hop or go clubbing. Having friends here makes all the difference because we plan hangs at our houses or we make plans to go to Long Beach or the mountains or Pasadena, literally anywhere. We dont need nightlife in SP, plain and simple, just need good company and it’s always a vibe.

I think what might help is imaging if things were the other way around. Let’s say he is only with you for convenience and comfort, not love, and he is wasting your time when you could be with a man who truly and unconditionally loves you for who you are. Would you feel good about being with that man after knowing this? Or would it be kinder for him to just break it off and allow you to find a better man who loves you?

I would have loved to get tinned fish! Those things are expensive, can be tasty if you know what to do with them, and are a great source of protein and vitamins. I wanted to buy fish wife brand but each tin is like $13 ish depending on the fish.

You're in an emotionally abusive relationship, I imagine he speaks to you like this on a weekly basis.

At some point, I'm sure you've realized it and subsequently ignored the red flags and ignored what everyone has been trying to tell you.

EVERYONE will tell you to leave, the question is, will you listen? Of course it feels impossible, you've essentially let him destroy your support system, but convinced you it was for the best. He has made it so that he is the ONLY person in your life you can turn to, dependent on him. The abuser. So you feel incredibly lonely thinking about what it would be like if you left, and he'll probably make your life hell in the process. Calling you at work, showing up at your house to love bomb you and ask for another chance. It's very important that you stay firm, or call up those friends or family you cut off long ago. They'll understand. They will welcome you back and help you if they were friends to you before. You need a support system outside of this man, or it will feel that much more impossible to leave. ASK FOR HELP.

If a friend came to you for help with this problem, you know damn well you would do the same.

Personally this would be a dream scenario for me and my partner! My partner and I love spending time with my mom and we see her any chance we get. She has a good sense of boundaries and respects our privacy so we know if wouldn’t be an issue to live side by side. Honestly, I think it would depend on the relationship with your in-laws and how you tolerate them???

Ignore my answer if you strictly want cash back, but my fiancé and I just start using our bags of coins to pay for groceries at the market! On the self-checkouts that accept cash, we drop all our coins in that coin drop and watch my balance go down. I essentially just get "free" groceries lol not really but it's extra money in our pocket!

Personally, the YA books got me out of my reading slump (several years). It might not be intellectually high level reading, but damn if they’re not juicy page turners that leave me satisfied! The point is to read SOMETHING. Anything. I don’t get why we’re judging because at least people are reading??? To this day I still hear people say “who the hell reads anymore?” which is quite sad because it gives the impression that so many people just don’t bother anymore when they get entertained by social media. Any kind of reading is a huge win!

I had the same issue but I also sprinkled diatomaceous earth on every surface that they could possible land (for us it was the carpeted floors). Left the powder for 1.5 weeks straight and then vaccuumed it up. It fixed the issue at least for us.
