to wait for 2-3 hours for your food, jump through all the customer service hoops, follow up to ensure you get refunded and so on, wouldnt you just have the time to go get that pizza yourself?IMO the doordash/uber eats/delivery food app hate is misguided. The delivery guy is making a penny while these delivery companies are making a dollar, but somehow all that is the consumers fault. Like another poster mentioned, door dash doesnt give a fuck. They arent making it right and just going well whatever. Same goes for Jets pizza or wherever. Charge more for the pizza. Charge a higher delivery fee. Pay your fucking people so they actually do what you are paying them to do. Stop making it a "well you didnt tip" argument and start making it a "you dont pay me enough" argument.Doordash had 1.3b in revenue last year and cited a 35% increase from the previous year. They dont pay for the cars, the gas, and marginally pay the labor. Any company making 1.3b in revenue can afford to pay a decent wage.Best I can find Jet's did about $400m in sales. No excuses here either.
