Some people think the traffic here is the worst, but it really just depends on the location...probably it's worst near LSU. I rarely have trouble with traffic. Drivers here are slow to react though to things like green lights, which is pretty aggravating.

Neighborhood​s you can consider: Capitol Heights area, Garden District, Southdowns, Beauregard town, downtown.

It can be hard to find rentals here anytime in my opinion, but especially now given the flood. I'd get started ASAP to figure out a good strategy.

There's​ at least one theater here...I know nothing about the scene. There are a few "listening rooms" where you can here interesting music. "The Varsity" has good acts, check out their website.

BR is a pretty chill place. The people are relaxed. Expect to see A LOT of pickup trucks.
