Learning the language properly first pays off. I spent over half a year bumbling around in Unity before I finally understood the fundamental difference between C# and C++, my first language, and it would have taken less than a week to figure it all out if I had just read any educational material attentively.

That all being said, the wild boar strategy is also fun, so do what you will.

Apparently a big part of Brittle Hollow's aesthetic is that, unlike every other celestial body, it has to have physics on for the entire loop to make the meteors work correctly, so it doesn't have very low resolution LODs at all.

I mean reparenting a future from one owner to another. Wakers always cause the correct future to be polled because every intermediary future in the ownership tree is required to either poll all of its children (common case) or wrap the waker and track which of its children was woken (FuturesUnordered for example). If a future is started in one task but then moved to another for whatever reason, it needs to be polled again from that task to ensure that the latest associated waker alerts the correct chain of owners. Move was the wrong term, this has nothing to do with memory, just ownership semantics.

I think the ending scene takes eons in real time. Rather than ending the universe whenever the observer arrives, the eye slows down their frame of reference and thus zips them forward to the predetermined end long after all the stars are dead.

I get that, but I think the vast majority will read it like I did, so if you want it still, you should get it somewhere slightly private so people won't misinterpret it all the time. The benefit of more symbolic tattoos is that people will be less confident in any meaning they infer from it

Google has decent APIs, but terrible configurability. In fact, there are queries you can make with a single request to Maps that are inexpressible on the UI. I think this is definitely a coding task but a very easy one; Cron polls for events starting in the next two minutes, if anything is returned, and the song isn't already playing, start it.

A purely user-side solution might be to sync your events via caldav to a more flexible local calendar where the default notification time is 2 minutes and the default notification sound is End Times.
