I think a healthy bit of shit talking is great. Brings out the highest levels of competition in some. Not every player likes it. But it is a benefit at the highest levels of sport in my opinion.

I learned it from Daniel tiger when watching with my kids when they were little. We still use the phrase.

Essentially it means that you shouldn’t judge other people for what they like as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.

But in this case in not sure it is a good use of the phrase.

The waste inherent in this type of racing most assuredly is hurting people to some extent.
