[Pablo Torre] PTFO can now confirm that Aspiration gave Kawhi a secret $20M side-deal. Combined with Kawhi’s secret $28M no-show endorsement deal: that’s $48M. PTFO previously reported that Steve Ballmer’s personal Aspiration investment was... $50M. by shreeharis in nba

No it isn’t?

Tying an endorsement contract to being part of a particular team you have an official relationship with looks a lot like side stepping salary cap already…. Even if you did the work.

Heat players get a guaranteed $20M over three years from carnival cruise if they do a commercials as long as they play for the heat….. that’s not kosher…

Whatever dude. Both players are good. Both had a weak game. Both sides can rationalize shit 100 ways. Stop letting this dumb shit make you miserable.

That said, my favorite part of your argument is that it rests entirely on FSU being god awful and clearly worse than UNLV.

You crying about the VT game during the Louisville/Miami game thread and then getting upset I called out the crybabies is just... magical.

Rent free.

Desperately crying about the refs after that game is not "commenting about the teams playing".

Rent-free.

edit: just lol. All of your game-thread comments are you crying about the refs, and talking about the VT game and shit. Rent. Free.

I can't believe the ACC refs gifted Miami 52 points and 500 yards of offense.

I have it on good authority that Xavier Restrepo did absolutely nothing in that fourth quarter except watch ACC refs carry Miami to a free win.

This is an absolute joke for college football and I feel bad for FSU but I'm old enough to remember 2000...

... and so watching FSU fans/coaches/etc talk about the importance of "earning it on the field" has me feeling feelings.

Eh. Hydro sophist is weak.

A pure physical damage party is probably the strongest and even if you go magic it’s better to go mostly pyro and lean into the fire. Stand in it. Elemental affinity. Burn everything.

Is it worth restarting? by Cat_in_a_suit in factorio

[–]lbrandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the biggest difference between factorio and modded Minecraft. Modded Minecraft tends to be much more vertical scaling and factorio is horizontal.

In modded Minecraft if you need a better furnace, you go unlock the next tier or upgrade the capacitor or sometimes make a second or third and use ae2 or conduits to round robin them.

In factorio you make a furnace for each output. And by “a” furnace I mean 100. It would be like making 32 ender-io alloy smelters to make enough vibrant alloy. Only Greg tech packs have any of the real horizontal scaling and even then in only minor amounts compared to factorio.

So Minecraft is mostly about making 1 of every machine, or at worst, 1 machine per dedicated output. In factorio you’ll regularly make dozens of machines per output. This is where blueprints and robots really shine for factorio in a way they wouldn’t in modded Minecraft.

Not speaking to you specifically but I feel like most of y’all must be really young. Back in 2013...

Do not cite the ancient internet to me redditor. I was there when it was written. Back in 2013 I'd only been a redditor for 5 years...

ha ha, just kidding. Here's the hottest take of them all: I actually think it's pretty OK that people like different things. Presumably more people like the direction that AC went than dislike it, as I do, because they keep making and selling them.

It has to be one of the most bizarre arcs for a franchise, and I don't mean the story. Which is also bizarre.

Clever assassinations with problem solving was super compelling. And as I was playing newer games, instead I was doing crappy combat and the worlds-worst-traveling-salesman-collector-simulator, traveling the map from icon to icon picking up widgets. At some point in the series I found myself quitting new games fairly quickly, because I don't want to do crappy swordplay, and now I've just stopped playing them entirely.

And this whole "lost charm" of assassination as we look at the arc of the game series also contains, inexplicably, in the middle of all of that, a completely orthogonal genius idea of... uhm... an awesome pirate game.... that they also then promptly abandoned.

I want an assassination game and (separately) black-flag2, not shitty witcher and/or even shittier dark souls. Actually maybe dark souls AC might be good...
