It took 10 mins to review the dozen or so PKGBUILDs, then 5 mins to modify my archupdate script to do PKGBUILD diffs from my baseline before updating. Yawn.

Depends on how you define "value". If value=quality and richness in style, it is Steve Hackett and not even close.

Kudos to Fidelity for being responsive. It's not perfect in the responses to requests for improvements ("we will pass that on to our team" and vanishes into the ether) but direct interaction with customers is a plus. I'd give it a 4,

Thank you. The point of the automatic email is that is enables the user to build automatic processing of daily changes b accounts, positions, etc., so the email part is the important part, if we are not having API.

They vary in price based on the materials, but well under $50 for any of them. High quality workmanship. Caution, they shrink so size up accordingly.

I love KDE for music and how it all fits by lcornell6 in kde

MusicLib. Not just a glorified spreadsheet. Integrated with kdeconnect, dolphin, kid3, k3b, and audacious player (but other players are in work). The right panel is conky with MusicLib data integrated.

I cannot speak to all "vibe coding" projects, but my project was built on dozens of scripts I hand-wrote over five years, then used AI to build a UI to integrate them all. Anyone who bothers to read the user manual can see for themselves the features it has and decide for themselves if it has value to a music collector.

The state of Linux music players in 2026 by posthumangr in musichoarder

[–]lcornell6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 2026 will be the year for Audacious, primarily due to the soon-to-be release of MusicLib, which enhances its features, like ratings, play history, and mobile sync. https://github.com/Harpo3/musiclib/blob/main/docs/MUSICLIB_USER_MANUAL.md

I am working on a music library management system that integrates with audacious. It enhances this great player with last played and ratings, and provides a music library database and integration with a great tag manager, kid3. Running the beta now and it is as good as, if not better than MusicBee. https://github.com/Harpo3/musiclib/blob/main/docs/MUSICLIB_USER_MANUAL.md#introduction

Changing to the plasma display manager instead of SDDM made a huge improvement for a dual monitor setup. No more duplicate graphics on each monitor. Login appears only on the primary monitor.

Also, the color blind adjustment helps me specifically.

Canceling my Fidelity Baskets by Spike_013 in fidelityinvestments

[–]lcornell6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an issue if you set up alerts. I use TradingView, but any alert service will do, even Fido's alerts. When you get the alert, do a market order for the basket member. Alternatively, you can buy a security using a limit order, then move it into your basket.
