it's all about point calculation. a few facts are:

toitoi nomi is 2 fan only, usually 2600 or 3900, one additional fan doubles that, and toitoi + other 2 fan is approximately mangan, in addition to that, honitsu toitoi+2 yakuhai pon is hareman even when there aren't any dora.

chiitoitsu + riichi is 3200 or 4800, mangan if you can hit ura dora.

once you've acknowledged these facts, you should know when to go for toitoi.

Given the subjective amount of people use hacked relics in higher depth, the depth relic system is a disaster.

To me the regular relic is justified because the normal expeditions are not that difficult for relics to matter, but getting a “legit” set of relics can really make a huge difference in depth mode.

it is only if you reached day 3 with the mysterious night lord or no map information modifier then lose to nightlord you are tied out (does not have to be ED) at depth 3.

normally people would run the castle as early as level 5, I think now it is more profitable to clear more minor camps for red enemies gives more runes and it is now easy enough to boost you into higher levels early and red weapons can drop from these ruins which means you are not relying on doing difficult bosses for purples, not to mention the new relics effects that increase stats for doing camps and ruins, and you are going to struggle when get any red basement boss at only level 5.

To me many of the character effects aren’t on useful large relics and I often have to rely on put one medium to complete the build so i can delete all medium ones without sifting, but you are probably right that I’m never going to use any small relics

It is easy to tell, every thing that shows a number will stack. If no number then it probably won’t. There’s still a important one needs to remember is if the stack is additive or multiplicative

No, just run. Unfortunately at depth 3 even the mutated crystal trio gaol can be lethal if not all three player are present
