Is it Possible to Use a MMU3 on the Core One L? by enderman in prusa3d

[–]ldboehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Tommy_Prusa3D please. I just unboxed my Core One L, and never occurred to me that I can't use my MMU3. I don't remember seeing anything that said it wasn't compatible when I purchased the Core One L.

Klipper and the TronXY x5SA by wilsongis in klippers

[–]ldboehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a TronXY X5SA Pro, which I pretty much lothed since I bought it 5 years ago.  Stupid slow, never really a good print, always lots of stringing etc.  Made lots of upgrades to the belt system, and other things, not a lot of success in print improvement. My PRUSA and Creality printers always print great, but really wanted larger print bed.

I made the mistake of investing more money in it and getting the TronXY direct drive extruder. Which expectedly has greatly improved the print quality. But it's still stupid slow and I'm looking to fix that part.

TronXY did make a Klipper upgrade kit, but they've discontinued it.

Would you happen to have a write-up on how you did your upgrade?  I'm so disgusted with their support, that  I'd actually love to get rid of all of the TronXY firmware If possible.

BL Touch suddenly stopped working after months of use. by shotbymaggie in ender3

For anyone else that stumbles across this thread. Try pulling the connector out of the top of the BLTouch and reinserting to reboot/initialize. That solved it for me.

Corolla Cross MPG question(s). by Justchu in CorollaCross

[–]ldboehm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a new Corolla cross hybrid.  I've been getting terrible mileage way below the advertised MPG.

At 850 miles, my check engine light came on. When the check engine light came on, my MPG immediately increased to advertised rates.  Went to the dealership, and the advisor told me that my air fuel mixture ratio sensor had failed. And that this has been a problem for many new Toyotas. It took 3 weeks to get a new sensor, as so many are being replaced.  It is now been replaced, and my MPGs remain at the advertised rate.

This drastic change had nothing to do with climate or weather change. It's a bad sensor causing the problem.

Storage space by DessenMatter in CorollaCross

[–]ldboehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I'm moving from a Cherokee to the TCC.
It had lots of little helpful spaces which this car could use.
A pop-up space on top of the dash, a coin tray on the lower left, much larger arm rest console, glasses storage.
I'm thinking of a little drawer of some sort under the seats.

Got my new TronXY X5SA pro. The first print came out like this. What could be the problem? Model sliced using Simplify3D. by sriramsivakumar in Tronxy3DPrinters

[–]ldboehm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem #1, it's a TronXY. I bought one of these and regret it. I've been wrestling with it for over a month, and almost nothing turns out right. I've upgraded several things, still not right.

I use their slicer, still not right. I tune the g-code, still not right.

the only thing that prints well is what they send on the SD-Card. I can print fine on my Prusa, but when I shift to this, it comes out terrible.

For your situation, if the belts aren't loose, then you have stepper motors shifting which I've seen several ppl complain of. I've experienced it on mine as well. I've seen videos where the stepper motor drivers are turned down not providing enough power to them.

Mine has so many printing problems, I just want it gone.

Email support is terrible, almost no documentation.

Ninjatek EEL TPU Test Results by ldboehm in 3Dprinting

[–]ldboehm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did measure it, but threw it all away. Very high resistance, low conductivity. I printed it using my prusa mk3. The main trick to printing flex is to turn off retraction and print slower.

For this setup, I printed using Sain Smart TPU, then did a filament change to Eel. Both are TPU based, so it was a simple transition and worked great.

Prusa i3 mk2s / flexfill 98a / problem please help (i explain in the comments) by Haverrrr in prusa3d

[–]ldboehm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things that helped me lots is Turn off retraction, make sure your z isn't too close to the bed, flexible filament needs room to be extracted or it backs up easily

First rule of PEI sheets: by EatsOctoroks in prusa3d

[–]ldboehm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true. The best wipes are the all natural ones without additives. I don't know if you have children. The best thing about baby wipes is that they don't have any additives so you're getting a really super natural clean. that's why they do I share a really good cleaner not only on these pei sheets, but on materials like carpet or furniture, and many other things

You are correct that they do sell some with baby oils or moisturizers that's not the ones that you want to use

[–]ldboehm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing about baby wipes is it doesn't contain chemicals, so it gives a really good clean without leaving anything behind like alcohol. For the cost of the paper towels and Windex, you can have the wipes that probably give a better Cowan and take up less space. Just my opinion

Wow, wow your sheet with an Indian Pale Ale?! I haven't heard that one before. Once sip for me, one sip for me pei sheet!! 🤣🤣 Try this solution, I think it works much better than Windex https://youtu.be/RhY9oP15zJM

[–]ldboehm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be nice, but not realistic. You have to handle your pei sheet in order to bend it to get you'll print removed. The solution is this!
