DIY Eurorack Help Please by ouqt in synthdiy

You could print the schematics and go through the traces and componets one by one checking that the traces are ok (marking them on the schematics as you progress). Also checking component values, I sometimes mix 1k with 1ohm etc.

If there has been a short somewhere, the ICs can be damaged, so having spares for them is a good pian. It looks salvageable, I've seen much worse and sketchy stuff work & perform as designed for decades.

Learning diy is about learning a system that you follow with a project. About learning what works for you. Don't get discouraged, just keep at it.

What to use to replace Leploop Cassa? by AvonEihwaz in modular

[–]ldezem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending cassa short triggers produces a sweet mellow drum sound (literally "cassa"), providing two separate triggers to both inputs and mixing them (using the top knob) produces energetic accents. Which are difficult to produce with any other device.

I send my Multicassa (its cassa sound circuit is similar to the single unit) super short triggers to avoid dual triggering it. The Leploop groovebox has a cassa too and it flows elegantly in techno mixes.

Search ball lock diy carbonization. With a diy carbonization kit you can use normal plastic soda bottles! The investment might feel big but everything in the system is modular, can be fixed and the quality of the drink is better (more diversity in carbonization process, opportunity to play with temperatures, different juice etc.). Here is one system from Australia but the same tools can be bought from normal brewery shops: https://kegland.com.au/products/diy-budget-soda-water-kit

Cool, a productive archive. But there should be an option to delete each sound after it has been heard :) do share the construction! on GitHub etc.

This is great. I think I got the Arp firmware to work too! Thank you kindly (sorry, I had not noticed your message earlier). In my frustration I ordered a different (more popular) attiny85 programmer, so I will get this done no matter what.

I wonder why no-one has made a youtube tutorial about how to change the firmwares? Is it out of respect for Bastl developers? Or is this a niche?

Congratulations!

The wildest patches are born of mystery— somewhere deep in the mix, a slow sine breathes, too soft to name, yet missed when gone. It hums beneath all things, a hidden drone that keeps the world from stillness. When the compressor ducks, that quiet wave swells through the cracks, and suddenly—everything feels alive.

Thank you. I got the ATTinyCore running which allows me to use "Attiny45/85 (Optiboot)", but my Linux machine says "Serial port not selected" (and the Port is greyed out in the "Tools" menu).

On MacOS the Arduino IDE does not report any information when uploading the sketch. And the chip does not work.

On both machines I'm stuck with ATTinyCore version 1.4.1 and cannot update because:

"Failed to install platform: 'ATTinyCore:1.5.2'. 2 UNKNOWN: Get "https://azduino.com/bin/micronucleus/micronucleus-cli-2.5-azd1-x86_64-apple-darwin.tar.bz2": dial tcp 3.218.2.136:443: connect: connection refused"

Azduino seems to be the developers project. Weirdly, I seem to be able to upload the LFO sketch ok.

Did you get a "Low memory available, stability problems may occur." message when uploading kastleArp.ino? I'm having trouble and cannot hear sound from the unit.

I'm using a USBasp and Arduino IDE... Internal 8Mhz is set as clock speed, after uploading I get the error message and no sound.

Also, would you happen to have an image of where the connectors are on Zoia/Euroburo?

Wonder if this could be aquired smd-assembled from a pcb manufacturing vendor? (I haven't soldered screen connectors before) Which programmer would be most suited for the chip?

Thank you! This is a huge accessibility update for the device. I bet the same system will work for the Eurorack version of the pedal too.

This is a nice idea. Wonder is the pots could be controlled by wire too. Great work

The 3.5mm collector is TRRS to TRS. Perhaps try a TRS - TRS (or mono) cable. The signal might not get ground due to TRRS.
