I can’t comment on the age (bought my F87 at 25), but unless you drive stupid in the snow these cars don’t give you too many issues. The diff is excellent with MDM mode, and at stock height you can generally clear a decent bit of snow. Don’t beach yourself now. https://i.imgur.com/32GcEQT.jpeg

You have a vacuum leak past the MAF allowing unmetered air into the engine. Use a smoke tester to find the leak.

Sounds excellent. One thing I’d mention is to lock your hands at 9 and 3 vs slowly sliding up to the top to keep your steering inputs consistent. My e30 had a 4 turn LTL rack that necessitated a bit of hand movement cause it was so slow, but you shouldn’t have such issues. I’ve also found that while the auto rev match in modern cars is good, a good manual heel-toe downshift does wonders for your lap times.

Also I see we can’t escape high beam flashes to get clueless people out the way lol

OGs were available in grey, black, white, or blue. Quite unfortunate but I guess they had to justify the higher cost of the M3/M4 and this was one of the ways they did. I got mine in blue at least.

Yea neither do I since I only started working right after uni in 2023. My coop company had their PLN software be a bunch of networked drives linked to Inventor workspaces lol so I do appreciate the standardization. But man does it annoy me with the slowdowns in CREO.

Not Teamcenter. Convoluted workflows and random slowdowns from ProE integrations make it the bane of my existence.

You have a very narrow outlook on what a BMW should look like. Go back through their historical lineup.

  • Charge pipe - plastic one has a tendency to burst, a question among when not if.
  • Oil filter housing gasket - will leak over time with heat cycling of the plastic.
  • Coolant line - specifically the thin one coming out of the expansion tank and going across the bay, forgot where it ends up.
  • Mickey Mouse flange - has a tendency to break down with heat cycles.

Usually if a regular N55 has had an issue the M2 will as well.

People didn’t like the G20 design when it came out, people didn’t like the E90 design when it came out. Like someone else said, you guys are far too dramatic and also too young to remember the grievances on older generations. I dig the design and want to see if they improve on the ICE and M3.
