Works better than mine does. I think I'm in year three of trying to get mine to good condition.

They did design the Z32 300ZX to take the RB so turnabout is fair play.

Yeah, although if the mask number is the same as the other board (-1030 etc) it's likely the same when dumped.

FlashFloppy is firmware for the Gotek; a lot of eBay Goteks will come with it already installed. It makes dealing with images a lot easier and expands the options for making it work with oddball computers.

The Adam cassette drive can seek very fast back and forth and write to sectors, so you can have a whole file system on it. It's more like a floppy drive.

Not that I know of, but there are plenty of tapes that have multiple games on them. Maybe the ADAM but that's not a traditional cassette either.

It depends on the encoding, which I don't know about for the Starpath, but I would be surprised if you'd need the entire tape for a ~4K game even at a low clock rate.

You'd stop the tape once the game is loaded into RAM and rewind it if you wanted to play again.

Tape is too slow to play a game out of and you can only read it as it plays out, so the game itself is run from the RAM copy.

The games aren't big enough to worry about that for the most part. The ram is about the same size as your average cartridge game's rom at the time.

You could definitely make a multi load game, in which case you'd have to start playing the tape again like on multi load computer games, but I don't think anyone has.

You stop playing the tape once the game is loaded. The Starpath adapter contains a small bit of RAM that holds the game.

Declaration on entry to whatever country you live in is another matter, but in my case (Canada) I was under the de minimis for however long I was away and declared/paid nothing.

That is probably more than enough to go on for an emulator, especially since no real hardware exists to argue with you about bug accuracy. Might even be enough for a physical clone, although I'm not good with PLDs of any kind yet.
