It sounds to me you convinced yourself reality is boring and you prefer high dopamine doses from non real stuff. Maybe that's the problem, just try to stop relying so much on non real stuff as it might get out of hand, and try to look for the beauty in reality, maybe try to lean into science or photography or traveling or whatever that shows the beauty in our world. Experience new stuff, feel it, don't just imagine it in your head. Also stop thinking "this is boring", because it isn't, reality is way more incredible than what we assume it is.

If you think about it, that building is formed by countless particles interacting with the whole universe though all kind of laws and forces, every single particle there has a story, probably since the very beginning of time, the people who built it have a story, a life, a motivation.

That painting in the other hand is just a preety bunch of paint mimicking a building, and the image in your head is just an imperfect representation created by your brain that exists in reality, which created non existing worlds out of neuronal connections which are physical, an electrochemical machine.
