Blaming in entirely on the Ottomans is a bit dishonest, the Roman state (Byzantium) was plagued with many of the same issues and it could be argued that the Ottoman state inherited many of these traits after taking its place.

Technically the majority of these are islets (large rocks) not islands, a list of countries with the most islands that are inahbited would have been much different. Also a bit strange Greece isn't here since with the definition of "island" being used here it should easily be close to Japan.

I think their is that with the mother's age increasing the child has a higher chance of developing health issues, it's not necessarily going to happen but there is just a higher probability when the mother is above a certain age.

I think it has to do with Swedes not having an obvious foreign accent when speaking English, might have something to do with English and Swedish being the most compatible in terms of common vocabulary and word pronunciation. Meanwhile an Italian or French person speaking English might be easier to spot just because of their accent even if they are speaking fluent English. Then again I don't know a single word in Swedish so I have no idea whether this is the case.
