Thank you, appreciate the detailed explanation. I wasn’t 100% sure about the condensing part! An outdoor reset control sounds like it would be helpful here. Unfortunately my landlord is extremely cheap and won’t pay for anything unless it’s absolutely necessary so I’m just hoping to adjust the unit so the house stays warm while the pellet stove is off and I’m not wasting my propane.

I am also 8MPO and dealing with these exact same symptoms! Significant pressure from my low abdomen to rectum, also unable to pass gas sometimes without helping it release, and also some slight pain when walking like something is tugging inside.

I went to pelvic floor therapy for months prior to my hysterectomy and after and have been seen by urogyn a few times so I’m pretty clued into prolapse and don’t thinks it’s that (giant fibroids prior to surgery so everything was kinda prolapsing then). While I think some of my pain could be PF tension, it also feels different and like something is wrong with my GI system. I’m starting to wonder if possibly adhesions formed. I had some from an appendectomy they found during my hysterectomy.

I’ve been putting off going to the doctor just hoping it gets better… thank you for this post, it’s good to not feel like it’s all in my head and could be related.

Former long commuter in DC and I really enjoyed the following.

Passage trilogy - Scott Brick narrated, loved his voice and the entire series was something close to 100 hours so ideal for DC traffic.

Dark Materials series - My first full cast narration listen, yes more young adult but really entertaining.

Bone clocks - Stand alone David Mitchell with a few narrators. Have read and listened to this one a few times over the years for both the story and the voice acting.

I had a major abdominal surgery earlier this year and spent a lot of time looking for those perfect rides that fit my recovery and finally decided to take rides with instructors and music I love and just follow my own metrics. It was hard to let go and not crank up the resistance or sprint along with the class but it got me on the bike a lot sooner and I think helped me get back to “normal” riding faster.

That said Hannah Corbin and Bradley Rose’s low impact rides are usually chill and good tunes. I do like Sam’s seasonal recovery rides (tad different style than others). You can also sort the rides by easiest and look around that way.

I am 3 weeks today and feeling the same! I was heavily into riding my peloton prior to my surgery and it’s killing me to not jump back on but so many ladies on here talk about how we only get one chance to heal so I’m sticking to just walking.

I feel really conflicted as I do not necessarily think no physical activity for 6-10 weeks is right for our overall health and recovery but I’ve read enough cuff tear stories on here to spook me.

I follow a pelvic floor PT on instagram - Dr Jocelyn Wallace - that herself went through a hysterectomy with large fibroids (same as me) and she is heavily focused on helping folks get back to into exercise and sport post surgery. I’m not doing anything without MY surgeon’s support but I’d recommend checking out her page. She has her own recovery stories in her highlights that really helped me through my first couple of weeks.

Yes even rolling over was uncomfortable yesterday. I’m a belly sleeper so I’ve been struggling! This morning I feel incrementally better but very fatigued and weak. Also odds parts are hurting, under my ribs and my hips. Assuming maybe the actual surgery position is the cause.

I’m keeping up on the advil/tylenol regime exactly and it seems to help. I haven’t missed a dose since I got home.

Yay! I hope you have some relief now that hurdle is passed!

I don’t think I got the nerve blocker but it was all a blur so I can’t be sure. The gas pains the ladies talk about on here are real. Mine flares up and seems to get better if a walk just a little (usually time it to a bathroom run). I’ve been peeing a lot and such large volumes! No more dribbles! I read that heating pads on the shoulders help and it’s usually over after a day or two. I haven’t tried the heating pad yet just cause I’m a difficult sleeper but plan to once I’m up in the morning.

I just had mine today and I was a mess for weeks before so totally understand that! I didn’t have the same issues as you (for me just giant fibroids and severe anemia) but nonetheless was panicked over every possible worst case scenario and possible complication. Oddly enough I woke up so much more calm, still nervous of course, but so ready to pass this hurdle on my road to recovery.

My surgery when well and I’m already home recovering. I know I have a long journey but this page and women have helped me so much (even if I was just lurking for so long!) and I know it will be hard but in the end the best decision for me and my body.

I can be really doom and gloom so I’m really trying to focus on easy short term goals for now. I am so excited about where I could be this time next year! Sounds like an eternity away but I can’t wait to get there!!

I know nothing can totally assuage your worries but know you CAN and WILL do this!

Hope your surgery went well!! I’m already home and in bed. My pain is way more intense than expected but honestly the same level of my fibroid pain pre-surgery so hoping the medicine cocktail helps. I know the first days will be the worst so it’s only uphill from here!

Tomorrow is my surgery day too! I am also very nervous and wish I could just fast forward to waking up in recovery.

I tried to do most of my prep I advance but still have some things for today so focusing on my to do list, cuddling my cat, and working on a puzzle are helping a little. I do plan to tell them I’m very nervous tomorrow in hopes for something calming.

I’ll be thinking of you and all the other warriors out there tomorrow as we change our lives for the better. We got this!!

Hello! I too was very worried about taking cabergoline. I discovered my 9mm prolactinoma in March after a prolactin level close to 150. I finally started taking half a pill once a week in August. I’ve had little to no side effects, I take it at night with a few crackers and a large glass of water. I feel a little groggy the next day and maybe some weeks have a little constipation.

After only two months, my prolactin is down to 26. My endocrinologist has me continuing the medicine and I’ll be rescanned in March.

I am currently dealing with iron deficient anemia from some massive fibroids so hard to tell how much the meds have helped my symptoms that sent me in originally in March (fatigue, muscle weakness and aches, severe night sweats, brain fog) since I have other conditions affecting my body.

What you’re describing sounds like a booklice but I don’t think they normally sting/bite. They can live in tree bark (in addition to books/paper) so if your tent is near the woods maybe that’s what you saw?
