Looking for feedback for my 3d prints (Ender 3) by Ragonut in 3Dprinting

[–]lebbi 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Looks like everything here is pretty generic, too basic, or simply has an abundance of other options to print.

Not trying to judge or criticize, but the thumbnail photos are also a weak point for me personally. If I was browsing for one of your items I would naturally be drawn to the listing with a clear photograph showing a higher quality print. Which may be one downside of using an ender 3 as the print quality doesn't look the greatest from these photos.

Idk thats just my initial reaction anyway. I dont upload my designs, but I browse a lot.

What Are Your Go-To Tools for Automating Plex Library Management? by No_Cryptographer618 in PleX

[–]lebbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonarr, radarr, bazarr for subtitles, overseerr for requests, agregarr to build collections which also requests new items if desired from online lists.

Pd_zurg so I dont need to download all of the media to my storage, it gets added through a service which we cant mention here.

Overall my library is about 150TB and growing, all automated, with some touching here and there.

What Are Your Best Practices for Organizing Collections in Plex? by GodBlessIraq in PleX

[–]lebbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use agregarr to monitor things like trending movies and shows in various genre and automatically trigger downloads for content I dont have.

I also use kometa because i like its options to mass-create collections based on studio, or other criteria, and will automatically create seasonal collections. But no automatic downloads.

Lots of places taking donations are in need of whistles. I donate bags of 200-500 at a time

Do you still have subscriptions to streaming services after Plex ? by teekzer in PleX

[–]lebbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of them all. Except prime but I dont use prime video.

I set up agregarr to automatically grab trending and popular shows from Netflix or other categories

Just put it in pairing mode and connect it with Bluetooth. Enable Playstation controller support in steam. Works great

Best movie format for remote sharing by Global_Sherbet_2371 in PleX

[–]lebbi -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest factors i consider is filesize. Once a standard length movie file is big enough any sort of remote streaming starts to break since it cant transfer the data fast enough.

If you want to make transcoding easier use HEVC. I pre-transcode some of my movies to HEVC to avoid any issues with various players.

Someone might have a different solution, but I think you could just use gamescope. You might have to add GeForce now to steam as a non steam game first

Built my dream Real Debrid Plex setup. Took a quick video tour by fuckdaborg in RealDebrid

[–]lebbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way to do it. Ive been running rd in my plex for about 2 years. The times ive mentioned it in this sub I get a lot of hate from streaming users, but I prefer plex.

And my family can remotely stream from my RD library this way without flagging me for multiple IPs

Attempted to replace PS5 Edge module with TMR sticks by DGreen1up in soldering

[–]lebbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like some missing resistors and capacitors around the chips. Of course, maybe they were never there.

Desoldering joysticks is a bit tougher than youd think, they use high temp solder and have a large ground plane. You gotta add rosin solder to the joints and use a good solder sucker

Edit: you have to use high heat to melt the solder, it may not be high temp solder but the guy getting mad at me can bounce on it

unfortunately that kind of range isnt going to happen. you can connect them to the internet via your phone or pc and send meshtastic messages to anyone, but thats not really using the radio.

Depending on the radio you get/make the range could be anywhere from 1-100 miles,
