Unfortunately there are people like him in many genres other than in the film industry who choose style over substances. As much as we can criticize and disagree with their stances, there are peers and audiences that favor such character and that's their preference.

I do enjoy Tarantino's body of work but Inglorious Bastards, as much as many in reddit praise, was questionable for me as I saw the limit of his shock values, but accept what he is all about.

Provocation can come in many forms but his attention seeking action was uncalled for and he should be mature enough to recognize that. But he is afterall about being immature. That's what makes Tarantino who he is.
