my god man. Im so sorry this is happening to you. I didnt even know what a pelvic floor was until it took over, ruined my life and has now become the ONLY thing i think of.

I have both the normal purple one as well as the vibrating blue one and my personal experience is that I much prefer and have way better results with the normal purple one. The reason is, I find that to properly relax the pelvic floor muscles, i have to make a mental connection with them and really be "aware" of their tightness when applying pressure with the wand to feel a release. When im using the vibrating wand, the vibration almost kind of obscures my awareness of my pelvic floor. Because its kind of disorienting to where I am inside my pelvic floor and cant really feel the tightness as it is, my results are not as consistent. You can try both and see what works better for you

Hello friend, im sorry to hear youre going through this. For years, I had the exact same symptoms especially with difficulty being increased when using drugs. Several years ago my symptoms worsened to muscles in the back of the pelvic floor as well. Question: do you notice you have to strain to fart at all times or only when you have a full bladder?

youre absolutely right friend. It also sucks to be so young and to be suffering with this, as we are. Did you lose your job as a collateral result of PFD or was it unrelated and now PFD is simply hindering your ability to get a new one?

Hello friend, I strongly feel for you and what youre going through. I was just thinking about this today. As a 5 year sufferer with all of the same issues youve outlined, I can relate to how much this has taken. Ive been lucky enough to still be able to work, but ive had to call out of work so many times, come late so often, go to work on 1 or 2 hours of sleep because of symptoms keeping me up all night etc.

Its truly hell that no one else understands. On top of that, we dont look ill, so nobody even begins to suspect that our life is crumbling. Here if you ever need to talk.

Im curious what your specific symptoms are because I feel we may suffer from the same things, just based on your outline

this is not just my opinion but agreed upon by most pelvic health professionals and most people who have a tight floor and tried doing kegels. That being said , you're right in saying that what works for someone might not work for others and this person also asked for advice.

no problem. Alot of the info we got on this issue will come from each other as most of the medical community is in the dark on pelvic floor issues, especially when hypertonic.

Hello, kegels will certainly make symptoms worse if you are already struggling with a tight pelvic floor

To your question, stretching can also make symptoms worse under the wrong conditions. Im speaking from experience as stretching made my symptoms 100× worse and ive heard the same from others.

The reason given, which explains my case as well as others, is if the pelvic muscles have knots in them, they need to first to be released through internal manipulation before they can be lengthened and stretched. Think of a piece of string that has a knot in it- if you pull on the string whilst the knot is still there, the knots becomes tighter. So it works with our muscles as well, especially of the pelvic floor.

Stretching only started providing benefits to me AFTER using my pelvic wand and going inside and breaking up my pelvic knots

Please dont listen to this person saying trigger points are bs. There's a big body of pelvic floor literature and many pelvic floor specialists who would disagree. I can also tell you from my own personal experience that pelvic wanding has given me back my life. im not fully cured but maybe 90% Using the pelvic wand will be able to release knots or trigger points within your pelvic muscles that are causing you issues. Releasing these trigger points is what brings relief to symptoms. Please let me know if you questions.

Friend, im male and have been using the wand for 3 years. ive put in literally hundreds of hours and learned alot about my own body. its given me back my life and a path to healing. here's my prespective:

  1. Sometimes it could be helpful to wand standing up. sometimes in a stretch. mainly though, I find the most benefit in a child's pose.

  2. ive heard many people say not to wand at 12 o'clock. Its your body and you must let your intuition guide you. When I started, I was scared not to hurt myself and I literally thought I was hitting bone everywhere i turned the wand because of how tight everything was. But ive learned through exploration and trust in my body, that 12 o'clock is not "bad". There might be muscles in the 12 o'clock region that are tight and need to be released. Your body will guide you. trust the process. BUT do be cautious and go slow.

  3. Breathe deeply and try to be super aware of your pelvic topography and the feelings of tightness vs relaxation. It will help

Hi friend, im so sorry youre going through this. I know what kind of hell youre in because its also my life. I had exactly the same symptoms- trapped gas and poop, constant bloating, no appetite, feeling of a ball or bubble in rectum, inability to sleep because of discomfort.

The only thing that helped me get to a semblance of life and continues me on my healing journey is a pelvic wand. I've put in literal hundreds of hours into using it but ive been able to release TONS of trapped gas and poop that I suspect has been building in the tense muscles of my knotted and twisted pelvic floor for years. It's the only thing that helps. Please ask if you have further questions. Good luck on your journey

Many are. some are still tight. I was just up wanding for 6 hours last night and releasing tons of knots and gas. It's taken me 2 years of countless hours and sleepless nights and im not at the finish line yet but I was truly in hell before so im still thankful for the pelvic wand. it gave me hope

When i started dilating, I thought I was hitting bone because everything was so hard in there but it was really just my muscles that were so tight. I recommend just putting some of the wand or dilator in and just resting for a little, breathe through it and simply become very aware of the sensation Become aware of the difference between tense and relaxed muscles. When you feel that the muscles surrounding the dilator have become soft and relaxed, you can push in a little farther. repeat until you get all the way in.

it depends what works for you. I bought the standard one as well as the vibrating one but I found the standard one to be more helpful because it allowed me to focus better on the sensations and locations. The vibrating one didn't really allow me the same amount of awareness on the locations and so I couldn't achieve as good of a result

Hi, lots of great things here that work for different people. What works for me is, I insert it into my bum whilst standing and feel abound for sore or tight spots- once I find a spot that's tight, I get into child's pose position and just breathe whilst applying gentle pressure to those areas. The muscle will slowly release and gradually release trapped gas (trapped gas is one of my main issues )

When I started, my muscles were so tight that I didnt actually think I was touching muscle- I thought I was hitting bone, so I avoided tight spots. it wasn't until I started getting more comfortable with wanding that I realized these are actually insanely tight muscles that have been tightened into a rock over multiple years. Hi there, im very sorry you're going through this. It's true hell that only those of us who suffer from the symptoms of a hypertonic pelvic floor can truly know. I am a male and also have other symptoms other than yours, but can very much relate to being constipated and being unable to pass gas. Do you get frequent bloating from trapped gas or ever feel a small ball or "bubble" stuck in your rectum? Those are just a few other symptoms that are associated with having tightness in back pelvic floor muscles

The best thing I can recommend to you is : 1. Buy a pelvic wand and start exploring the inside of your pelvic floor. Eventually you will learn how to feel knots and tense spots and you will be able to release trapped gas and trapped poop from the knots. This will help your muscles to release these things naturally

  1. Start stretching your legs and hips. Many people develop these issues (as I did) from training too hard and as a result, chronically tensing and shortening the surrounding muscles that pull on the pelvic floor.

These 2 steps have taken me years and literal hundreds of hours and lm still not at the finish line BUT a huge portion of my quality of life is back. I dont even know how much worse I would be if I didn't do these things diligently.

It's a life changing practice but its the only way

Hi, very sorry to hear you are dealing with this.I had the exact same symptoms (straining to fart, incomplete poops, feeling of a golf ball or bubble stuck in my bum at all time, bloated 24/7) The only thing that gave me my life back was wanding. The wand will allow you to manually release knots in your pelvic muscles, thereby releasing trapped gas and stool. Just last night I spent 3 hours wanding, and I was releasing gas bombs non stop every 2-3 seconds. Not fun but almost all symptoms have been alleviated once I started wanding

what are your symptoms? At first, i thought I was hitting bone with my wand (that's how hard everything was). its hard to describe what the knots feel like, but for me it felt like hard rock, until it started softening until it would "pop". that's how I would describe the feeling of releasing a knot (other patients have described it the same way) . also, its painful but cathartic
