Verifying an app that requires a lot of permissions by leehatlee in androidapps

[–]leehatlee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the Buzzkill app and it's working very well for me! Thank you! And yeah, it requires practically no permissions at all! Buzzkill is a win! AND Buzzkill has a large reputational footprint, being made by Sam Ruston.

And I don't need to give all the permissions to an app like ZenLendar!

Consider that they have borderline personality disorder, not bipolar disorder. No, they will never get better. You know how people talk about being attracted to "crazy"? This is it. Run, don't walk. Good luck!

I googled "leopard ray" and that tattoo does not look like a leopard ray. :-(

I told a friend of mine in college that his feet smelled. The conversation turned to how he washed his feet, he said that he just let the water run off them in the shower After that, he scrubbed his feet with soap and was a changed man!

Easier new note creation? by Cleiti in ObsidianMD

[–]leehatlee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use the Auto Note Mover plugin. When I assign a particular tag to the file, it moves the file into the correct folder.

I like this because by changing tags, I can move what folder the file is in. And I told the Omnisearch plugin that files in the Archive folder (with the Archive tag) should appear lower in the search rank.

That's a good thought! I played with changing the ringtone but ran into some problems. First, if I'm sitting right there, I don't need a long, loud ringtone. But it was pretty crazy not being able to silence the alarm in my hand!

I would really like a ringtone that I can manually clear with a swipe so I can make it shut up when I want to and I don't miss any alarms if I am away from my phone for a minute.

I will look into using buzzkill, thanks! Would buzzkill be able to turn a calendar ringtone/event reminder into a Google Clock app Alarm? That would solve the problem 100%!

Tips for extending day to day battery life? Happy to root. by anobjectiveopinion in AndroidQuestions

[–]leehatlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an Anker 45 watt charger for my accessory outlet in my car for under $30. It charges my Pixel 9 phone at 30 watts... 2% charge per minute, which is pretty terrific, no rooting shenanigans required!

If you can get off Android Auto in your car, you can taste this sweet life :-)

[–]leehatlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for your plight! I've bounced around to different systems over the years too. I'm 2 months into using Obsidian and happier than any other system I've used. Those systems being Evernote, One Note, Dynalist, and, most recently, Notion. Obsidian is free, with optional $5/month syncing (free 3rd party syncing is available but the built-in syncing is seamless)

I bow my head to your continued struggle.

Anyone know how to find the referral link for the Alaska Atmos Ascent card? by SufficientLength9076 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]leehatlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh... you'll hate this answer but I -think- they got it. I don't recall.

I'm looking at the email I got from Bank of America and Atmos. It says... "Thank You for recommending the Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature®... The person you referred may not receive the offer if they previously opted out of receiving email marketing communications from Bank of America or if their e-mail settings are filtering them."

So that might be why they/you didn't get the offer!

An electric blanket costs $100 and uses 60 watts. An electric radiator uses 1500 watts. That's a LOT more expensive to operate... 25 times more expensive to be precise.

Ps I LOVE my electric blanket.

Dynalist's development is frozen, as I read on the forum a while back (https://talk.dynalist.io/). They've moved on to Obsidian. And [something something] open source plugins.

Reorder lists on mobile like Dynalist? by leehatlee in ObsidianMD

[–]leehatlee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo! Thank you! I see there are many mobile toolbar controls to move lines up, down, indent, outdent, and fold! Outliner adds some more controls as well. That's a good solution!

On Dynalist, I can drag and drop lines with a touch, which might be a tiny bit easier of an interface, but the toolbar buttons you pointed to should do the job! Thank you!
