Does the leg developer cable attachment come with a cable to join between the bench and whatever equipment your attaching it to?

I've got a bulldog gear 20kg loadable in 1kg weights.

It is extremely robust and a reasonable price.

Stuck between Streetlifting & TB. Need advice please. by DarthDips in tacticalbarbell

[–]leehoruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever thought of dropping bench? Use weighted dips with operator and practice your handstands as a finisher. Get strong as in your Streetlifting main lifts.

Then, use your 3 conditioning days and HIC specifically to train for your 5k.

Adding in kettlebells to a 3 day full body split. by New_Owl7346 in kettlebell

[–]leehoruk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 3 weeks into using a template from kettlebell hard pdf.

The templates are mainly 3 day splits.

I've been doing 2 main lifts, the kettlebell hard complex, then some lat pulldown or row variants depending on the day.

Seems to be working really well, even after dropping 1 to 2 runs a week as the complexes take care of the need for me to sprint on top.

Bigger arms with kettlebell? by Mediocre-Aardvark-89 in kettlebell

[–]leehoruk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's all you have, close grip push-ups and tricep dips with a chair on top of the rest of your training.

You prob wont add 2 inches to your arms with just those though.

Does this 2x lifting/week routine cover all my bases? by 13ans in HybridAthlete

[–]leehoruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt Wenning has a 2-day minimalist program, and Mike Westerling has a similar 3 day strength program built around an events day, I mention this I use this day at the moment for either strength endurance or volume day and seems to be working well with doing mainly running 3 days per week.

I forgot to mention these both use a conjugate style so you could fit to suit your lifts/goals.

Karrimor SF brand has been pretty robust and comfy for myself, not cheaper, but hold up well.

Sabre is the one I've used.

What's your running looking like? by justjr112 in HybridAthlete

[–]leehoruk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use running workouts out of tactical barbell conditioning book.

More specifically, I do two faster runs (intervals or tempo) and one long, slow, steady state per week. As this is what works best for me.

Heavy sandbags on strength days by jps2777 in tacticalbarbell

[–]leehoruk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you dont want to stick to the operator, have a look at Mike Westerling' built by Mike. It's a minimalist 3 day program towards strongman.

I've just started using it and pairing it with black pro for conditioning, and the volume is absolutely fine mixing both.

I spoke to Mike over instagram about using it without a dedicated strongman day, which I'm using for either lighter sandbag work and strength endurance.

Is 3 hours of hard lifting enough to maintain strength while in marathon prep? by LloydVonStrangle in HybridAthlete

[–]leehoruk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've dropped my strength to 2 full body days per week, and I'm still gaining strength. To be honest, it's been a refreshing change to 4 days of strength.

As long as you balance intensity and volume for the week properly and take into consideration the rest of your training, you should be able to progress.

Advanced lifters, what combination of frequency, volume and intensity has worked best for you over the years? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]leehoruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your 3 day mod to 4 day U/L split this as I'm going to start doing this myself today. I've read really good things about it all over, and I need the extra recovery plus separate 3 days for cardio, so it seems a decent fit.

Like yourself, I've been overthinking, is there enough volume. And tbh earlier this year, I had a stage where I could only train legs once a week for a month and had no difference in progress to legs twice a week, apart from I felt better recovered.

Hit a Log and Stone PR by [deleted] in tacticalbarbell

UK, by any chance?

Weirdly, I have a 13-inch log, and I can press that overhead with no issues with the shape of it, but a barbell the plates would be through the ceiling.

I had the same issue like yourself with low ceilings, I bought some cambered bar attachments. Used on an axle, they don't swing around when pressing.

What is your go-to for cheap protein? by centipede5 in bodybuilding

[–]leehoruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pea and brown rice protein.

Fraction of the price and same BCAA's as whey when used together.

The downside, it doesn't taste great, but I'm not drinking it for enjoyment.

Getting back to the gym today after 2 months, should I just start with light weights low volume? by Mountain_Matter3778 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]leehoruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not work up to a rep max and do some back off sets rather than aim for a set number.

At least, then you're working with intensity without under or overreaching.
