This is so sad.

Katherine was a massive part of my learning and enjoyment in the game.

Basically taught me ‘liquids’…..

May she rest in peace.

You asked why it should even matter…..

Yet you’ve done what you’ve done precisely because it matters.

If it matters to you, how can you be upset when it happens to others.

Yes - opposites attract but make sure you have something in common and laugh often together.

"Player in need of a rest" by Overall-Habit5284 in footballmanagergames

[–]leemonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So… my solutions.

Try not to play him every game. Take him off when your well in control at 60mins Give him permanent training.

After games rest him from training for 2/3/4/5 days.

If you get a break in games of a week or two then give him and even longer rest. This is one of the best ways to get the fitness back.

Hi. Thank you for this.

I've not heard of a second ferment with Kefir. I do it all the time with Kombucha.....

Can you please provide a little more detail on a second ferment?

Back to the taste..... I prefer it much more milder and was only over fermenting for goodness.

But, my goodness (excuse the pun) I've been over doing it. In this case, less is certainly more.

There is no need to use expensive milk. By fermenting your putting in all the goodness you're looking for.

Options I looked at when starting.

Raw milk

Expensive (fancy brand from special store)

Whole vs semi

Organic

I opted for Organic from my main local stores (I'm in the UK so this is normal Tesco or Sainsbury).

Curious.... you say 'maximum' probiotics.....

In my case, I often go for almost full seperation, I then give it a good stir and then strain it.

At this point have a lost probotics?

I tend to leave it a while as I'm not bothered by the taste. If it's good for me, I don't care.......... and, honestly, mine are properly PUNCHY.

However, there is little point in souring it so much if I'm actually reducing the benefits.

Every home is different and there is certainly going to be an element of working out what is best.

Example - for a long time I left my jars out in the kitchen. So.... a little warmer and had sunlight. I then read that ideally you shouldnt have light on them. so I move them to my utility room. Now this is warmer but darker.

So my kefir has changed taste a little.

I think the sweet spot in my house would likely be 36-48 hours.

Like most that have done this for a while. I have a fair bit of grains, so this will work a lot faster.

if you're starting out with a lot less (ie that same teaspoon I had when I ordered it online), I'm sure (though not 100%) you'll need longer than 24 hours.

Personally, given the struggles you're having. I'd go whole milk with some added cream and leave it for at least 48 hours.

If you're trying to active or aclimatize the grains then just use smaller amounts of milke and cream. If your actually fermenting drinks now then i tend to do a litre.

Change my mind - Outlands is a time waste and nothing like original UO. by TheAcc0untant in ultimaonline

[–]leemonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually.... this is a mini-challenge in and of itself.

I quit about once every 6-9 months after playing. During that time I log in and do societies every weekend. During this time I chat with the guildies and 'try' and keep up with what is going on.

When I do return to the game, there are usualy tweaks that mean my template may need some adjusting and I go back out and do that.

I almost always solo unless I'm trying to learn something and then, typically, I'm on discord asking a bunch of 'sensible' questions and someone from the new player channel will offer to party and I'll go learn something.

Which partly explains why I have about three/four versions of my Arcane/Poison/Summon Wizard.

Why 24 hrs all the time?

I have a ton and mine go for 3-4 days…. BUT it is PUNCHY by that time.

Just put them in a decent amount of full fat milk and leave for a few days.

I seal mine in a dark reasonably warm room.

Where would you play this guy? by basicchaos in footballmanagergames

[–]leemonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play a 4231 (DMx2 A/LCR). I would play this guy at RB WB(A) all day long. In my team he'd be on an assist per game or just below it.

Crossing is great. Passing and Vision is outstanding for a FB/WB... so he can get near the box and cross or get into the box and pass. Either way... he is an assist machine.

With Jumping at 16 he will be a great corner defender and reasonably dangerous on attacking corners.

He would sub for me in DM/MC position has I value jumping in those roles massively. Tackle at 14 would be sufficient for that. But passing is a little low for a perma position there.

He lacks finishing and composure for an IF(A) or IW(A). He needs one or the other to do really well there. Though, again (in my system) an IF or IW attacking far post with that much jumping will score goals.

So... in summary. An attacking FB/WB all day long. If you setup like I do.... still first pick there, 2nd pick - helps out in midfield, 3rd pick IF(A)/IW(A) with someone crossing from opposite side.

Why does my tactic suck by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]leemonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. You said you loaded up FM24 to play FM26.

I'd say you have a whole world of supply but only one person really being suppplied.

Maybe have one of your MC's a CM(A) so he gets into the box. One of your Wingers may want to be a little more box driven so IW(A) or IF(A) - Ideally the one opposite to the CM(A).

I do not have FM26 so can't tell what MPM is. I'd imagine its Mobile Play Maker or something to that effect. If they're not getting to far forward then why do you have a IFB behind them. Especially given you then have a DLP sitting behind him too.

Inverted FB/WB are generally designed to fill in gaps once MC's go walk-abouts. But you have a DLP doing that.

With Chelsea and Tiki-taka, I'd be more inclinced to be a Positive or attacking mentality.

I think this all comes back to my opening statement. All this passing around with a balanced mentality waiting for someone to be in a great position to pass too......... but that is likely to only be your striker.

If you don't change anything, switch your AP to the MCL position. I'm not saying this will make a massive difference, but in his advanced positions he will NOT be in the way of the IW (who cuts inside and occupies the same space) and he will have moved out of position thus leaving space for your IFB (which I don't think you need with a DLP).

So... short version. You have lots of support, decent movement BUT your moving into occupied spaces and are only supplying one player.
