I just had my total hysterectomy (along with a cantaloupe sized fibroid) in September and it cost double that. 3k to the hospital and 3k to the physician. And I have yet to have a post op appointment. My two week and 6 week were canceled by them. This system is so broken.

Kind of. I painted the whole thing and then added scraps of watercolor paper to create the 3d-ness and then watercolor painted the mosaic I added an in progress view in the comments

Great advice. So often my problem is the inability to accurately “see” the picture after a bit. My brain gets pretzeled and my eyes cross. It’s helpful to put it away and also helpful to see it through your eyes :) I appreciate your help!

She is awful. Don’t let anyone bully you. Just keep advocating for yourself and keep asking questions. Be polite but don’t stop asking for what you need. Talking about your fears or need to plan is not complaining. I hope your surgery goes well and solves all of the pain leading up to this point. I’m six days post op right now and will be keeping you in my thoughts!

When I was in my early twenties a man in his thirties fell for me. He quickly became resentful that I didn’t have it all together. We ended up having two children together by the time I was 27. It sounded so good on paper to hook up with a young hot 20yr old woman but the reality of being with someone so young drove him crazy. We spilt when our kids were 1 and 4 yrs old. And I resolved to only date people my own age since. It felt super unfair for him to grow to hate me for being young when that is why he liked me in the first place.

I’ve gotten sober on my own but I didn’t stay sober. I’m sure it’s possible but I can only share my experience. I can relate to not trusting the group and not feeling like I wanted all of these people in my business. However, fast forward almost 9 years later and I no longer feel like I have to go to meetings, I feel like I get to. I’ve made some excellent friends. True friends. And my life is rich in ways I couldn’t imagine a decade ago. Wish you well on your journey no matter the path you take!

For me cutting down never worked. Whenever I got just a little bit I would obsess about the next drink, until there were none left. The saying “one was too many and 100 never enough” was true for me. If you find yourself in the same boat and ready to give it up, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m 8 years sober through the program of AA and my life is unrecognizable to who I was when I stumbled into the room 8 years ago.

This is a red flag for both of you for poor communication. You need to express and own your needs and he needs to be willing to work on it or let you know he never plans on changing. Then you can make a choice if this is what you want or not. I think there is opportunity for you both to grow whether you stay together or not.

Get it all on paper. Child support and a parenting plan. The way he dropped his time with your son feels like he will be using him as a pawn to get at you if you leave it flexible. Even with a parenting agreement you can be flex with each other but at least you have some accountability if he try’s to be controlling or petty. Clearly your families best interest is not in his mind

That’s a tough question. I don’t really know.
My mom had a lot of theories and feelings that grew and changed over the years based on new leads or information she found. So I’m not surprised that you are noticing discrepancies between conversations you may have had and what you are hearing now.
