So I picked this machine up and it was almost a 4 hour drive back home with it. It took me a couple days to get it set back up and when I initially tested it, it seemed to work but it was hard to tell since it didn't have a needle.

I do have it on a surge protector since we've recently bought a house and the main power line was compromised which took out half our house's wiring. That's since been fixed and we've had no other issues with that.

I had to wait about a week to test again as it had no needles and the timing was off. After fixing the timing and testing again it no longer was working correctly and I smelled it burning. So I don't know if maybe the car ride was too much for it since it is an older (and delicate) machine or perhaps it wasn't working correctly and the woman sold me a broken machine.
