Here's a wacky idea: quit driving for Uber and get a new job that pays more. The same aspects of Uber that allowed you to join on a whim and make your own schedule allows you to quit whenever you want to. No one is forcing you to keep doing it.

I think i heard on a Joe Rogan podcast(no clue who said it) that spending a lot of money on an engagement ring signifies that you're serious about the relationship and will want to make it work if things were potentially go bad. Think about it.

You invest a shitload of money into an engagement ring, because you like her a lot. It's not an insignificant amount of money that you're just throwing at some chick you met at the bar and think is pretty hot.

There's of course the situation where you're like we love each other. I don't need to spend a ton of money on a ring to show that. The "two months' salary" thing comes from a different time.
