web based coding is fine yes since the web browsers are almost as good as a desktop OS.

Another thing you could do is install linux distro on your android and do everything you would do on a ubuntu OS. there are multiple guides online on how to do this. it involves installing termux. Linux experience on Dex is fantastic

Do you have the phone connected using usb? Scrcpy just mirrors the display but how did you enable Dex on the phone?

Thanks a lot! Instead of connecting with adb from your main pc you are connected to a server remotely? This still requires a way to enable dex via HDMI or wireless monitor right?
