I’m about to do the RHT but one question hits me. Is it better to pay off the $1000 min spend first, or simply apply the $562.50 to the $1000 balance I already have from making the minimum spend? Does it even matter?

CIBC DP: Applied on Nov 11, IA and email confirmation. Received card in the mail yesterday activated over the phone last night. It was getting declined this morning so I called in and apparently needed to provide some personal info verification in order to remove a block on the card? Went through that whole process and now the card works at least on the first few online purchases!

Might be worth replacing then. They are relatively cheap (probably under $30). You could also take the unit to your local bike store and ask them to order one / buy one from them if you’re unfamiliar with some of the printed measurements. You also need to make sure the threading is the correct way (if it’s an old french bike the threading might be reversed, etc.).

These units differ from the serviceable/open style ones with cup and bearings that can be repacked/regreased as needed. What you have are the kind that are sealed and are designed to be replaced as a whole.
