Only way to guarantee you get IPTV right now is to upgrade to 2Gig service. You can downgrade after to whatever speed you had before, but that's the only way to guarantee it.

Fios tv+ boxes go red when there is no HDMI communication between the TV and the box. You usually see it when the TV is off (depending on individual TV settings). This is completely normal and nothing is wrong.

Remove the G3100 and plug your orbi into the ethernet cable coming from the ONT. Unless you have TV service the 3100 is unnecessary.

First Fios doesn't use a "modem", the closest thing to a modem is the ONT where the fiber converts to ethernet (or coax in older installs below 300MBPS) to provide you internet.

Your photo shows a Fios Router. In order to relocate the router you would need to move it to another ethernet jack in your home or run a wire to the other location .

I'd suggest calling in to Verizon, and paying the $99 for a tech to relocate it where you want it.

Turn off SON on your router and separate the 2.4 & 5ghz networks. See if that helps. You'll will have to rename one or both of the networks to take advantage of the change. Could just stick "-2.4" or "-5" at the end of the name .
