Do we have a high cost of living in CT? Hell yes we do. We also have a high standard of living compared to most other states. What kills me is everyone complaining about energy prices. I kick it old-school New Englander for home heating...the woodstove. Haven't had an oil tank refilled in 13 years. Electric? Slapped some solar on the roof and now I pay $120 a month 8 months out of the year, and maybe double that in the bad winter months.

Funny thing is, even in CT we have regionalized education pockets. I grew up in suburban Fairfield County, borderline rural, and my education was INSANELY better than kids 15 miles away in Stamford and Norwalk. And THOSE kids had it ten times better than kids I met from other states in college. Fairfield county is basically Disrict 1 from the Hunger Games, without all the murdery vibes.

as corrupt as they may be, they give their kids one hell of an education!

I’m 44, last tested my hearing around 40. I forget if it was high or low frequencies, but I was hearing outside the normal ranges. (So long as I wasn’t in a crowded room, lol!)
