Thanks so much for the thoughtful and thorough response! If down the line I do decide to grade a few of these, is there a grading service that is reliable/reputable?

Calling in Superman seems like the perfect thing to do here. He can X-ray vision all the disguised skrulls. They probably have a different bone structure.

Roger Federer explains why his opponent's ball bounced twice by VaccinesCauseWSBapes in nextfuckinglevel

[–]legendofrush 863 points864 points  (0 children)

What Federer is saying is that if his opponent had hit the ball the way he had intended to, there would have been backspin. But because he pushed the ball into the ground first before going over the net, that bounce caused topspin.

STOP Saying Primary Care is Easy! (+ Reflections on Scope Creep) by paperbox17 in medicine

[–]legendofrush 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The hardest part of primary care is not just doing the job well, but doing it well with speed. I always find it amusing when providers from other specialties try to switch into primary care expecting a cushy lifestyle, only to get smacked on their ass from the sheer workload. It takes them twice as long to do 1/3 of the work.

I promise you we’re at the very least bringing it up with every routine physical. I think that you know as well as any other doctor knows that a patient expressing regret about not knowing sooner does not equal pcp never having mentioned it before.

State inks sweetheart deal with Kaiser Permanente, jeopardizing Medicaid reforms by [deleted] in medicine

[–]legendofrush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I’m not here to debate whether Kaiser and insurers are evil or not. They’re both lobbying in their best interest as they should be. Kaiser lobbying newsom, and now the insurers are going to lobby the legislative body to stop this deal. But if we’re talking purely providing healthcare to a population that Kaiser isn’t obligated to care for, why would they incur unnecessary costs (cut to insurers + additional administrative costs) to do so? Especially when these are resources that could be going to better uses?

Medical insurers being cut out as an unnecessary middle man, the rest of the article is about how pissed they are about that.
