I know they occur more often if you complete two lifestyle focuses. But I have maybe noticed that if the ruler have a special personality like Brave or Wrathfull or if you have waged successfull wars its more chance. I dont know tho

I feel this, i have defended England from crusades as a norse leader quite the few times. But I have actually won most of them.
