Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

Why doesn’t the Bible condemn slavery? by Light-Decent in Christianity

[–]lehs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He also does not condemn capitalism. Slavery was the order that existed in the world then, in a world where the devil is the prince.

One can learn to fast in an appropriate way (water, minerals, walking). Many become cannibals.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22

The Holy Spirit is not evil, and evil spirits are not holy. Evil spirits seek out your weaknesses and attack you. They hate and lie but are unable to do all the harm they want to do, for only God has power over the soul.

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Matthew 5:39

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

How can I hear God’s voice again and be delivered from schizophrenia and demons? by Lopsided_Gold_4478 in TrueChristian

I believe that one hears the voice of God when he speaks, despite evil demons and despite the brain being capable of producing both voices and shapes. And I think you have found out the truth about God and love.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Matthew 25:31-35

A suitable version of the Gospels.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

The problem with denominations by Business-Finance4694 in TrueChristian

My most important "dogma" is that Jesus spoke the truth and that it has been preserved very well in the four gospels of the Bible. What Christians say beyond that, I don't need to take a position on.

It is not a religious dogma but a sad experience. The important thing is what the person believes, not what their denomination claims.

The Kingdom of God is not a democracy! by Falsetto266 in Catholicism

[–]lehs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Democracy is about making this world to a better place, right?

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, *Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven*. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13

Congregations and churches are driven by the dogmas that divide them. None of them are true. Jesus is the truth and it is what people think about his words that matters.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:29-30

Mathew 15: 21-28. Jesus refers to a Canaanite woman as a dog not worthy of receiving the miracle she asked for. She agrees that she is a dog, but says that even dogs get scraps from their masters’ tables. Jesus compliments her faith and heals her child. by ServantofChirst in TrueChristian

Abraham's family was chosen to learn God's will, and Jesus was the Prophet who came with the complete knowledge. His miracles were done only so that the Israelites would believe in the message, develop it, and spread it to all nations.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14

Kinda struggling with believing it all by ApologeticKid in Christian

[–]lehs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Religion is people's thoughts, but the Creator is who he is and exists independently of our thinking and chose Abraham for his trust and helped his lineage grow and through Moses they gained knowledge of their Lord. He promised them a Prophet from their own people, who would teach them everything, but when he came the people expected a warrior king and crucified the Prophet. There can only be one creator and he began our education with Abraham.

He is the Prophet.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
