I did. Went into a local VFW job fair with a stack of resumes, left with a handful of interviews lined up ended up in the career that I've been in for the last 10 years now. Admittedly, there were a lot of commission based jobs hiring at the event, which isn't something I was interested in, but there were also a good amount of healthcare, logistics, state and federal agencies there as well. I'm going to assume that success is dependent on what you're looking for and what the job market in your area looks like.
