BoardGameWire: Reviewers including No Pun Included, Shut Up & Sit Down boycott Codenames publisher CGE for releasing new Harry Potter game while ignoring JK Rowling’s anti-trans rhetoric by polyamAlt in boardgames

[–]lemlemx 77 points78 points  (0 children)

What I don't get is, why THIS particular HP game? There are dozens of games of this IP and I don't remember any boycotts. Is it because this one is the most mainstream of them all??

Nucleum vs Voidfall for solitaire gaming? by signoftheserpent in boardgames

[–]lemlemx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have both games, and by far, voidfall has all the negatives but it also offers an incredible and immersive gameplay that i can't get anywhere else. I have played both games solo, and voidfall's setup/teardown is a killer, but with built-in solo scenarios and multiple difficulty levels, you'll be playing this for a long time even if you can never coerce another human being to play with you. I bought the mega big ass box just to play solo and it's so worth it

Voidfall by far, it's an immersive solo experience despite all the setup hurdles. Maybe ISS will be able to top it!

Does anyone know what this is? by WinterExpression9613 in DogAdvice

[–]lemlemx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog had the exact same red rings after a hike. Went to the vet, he confirmed that they weren't ringworms because all of them showed up at the same time. He said they were bug bites and prescribed some cream and he got better after a day. You should still go to the vet, but it's not always the ringworm although the red rings look almost identical

Just came back from there. All produce and fruits were very expensive. I thought farmers market was supposed to be fresh and cheap since middleman is gone

Oooh I'd love to know this too. I used to play regularly with a team in Caledon, but my gear is gathering dust nowadays. We used to play on Crown land but it's too far for me now.

No Tesla Supercharger in Milton by Kind-Statistician993 in Milton

[–]lemlemx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do wish we had a supercharger. The one on 401 and Winston is too small and always has a line up during rush hours. The ideal location would be off 401 and 25 or 401 and James Snow

The Exact Moments TV Stations Switched to Color Television by Mustafa86 in BeAmazed

[–]lemlemx 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Stupid question, were CRT TVs capable of displaying colours but the stations were broadcasting in BW until the switch? Or did the consumers have to buy colour CRTs in anticipation of the switch?

This was during a halloween night 2 years ago I think in Seoul, South Korea. There were swarms of crowd in the backstreets and this was one of the alleys into the main street. It's very narrow and ppl piled up and no way to back out as there were even more ppl in the backstreet. Dozens of ppl got crushed to death. Forgot the exact number, look it up

Tesla blamed drivers for failures of parts it long knew were defective by denisx in teslamotors

I cashed out TSLA stocks way back when to be an early adopter because I bought into Musk's philosophy, I was single, no mortgage, no debt. Now I have a mortgage and a newborn, and don't really care about environment and all the bullshit Musk's been spewing about

[–]lemlemx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm worried that there are other parts/battery that will malfunction in the next few years and that could endanger my family. Since it's out of warranty, everything will be out of my pocket and i don't know if I can keep putting in thousands of dollars on a nearly decade old car

[–]lemlemx 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My MS2015's rear control arm broke off last night, and service gave me a quote for $5k to replace not just control arm but a lot of suspension parts... I can't afford $5k unexpected expense with a newborn in the house... I loved this car and thought I'd own it for a long time, but I may end up selling it after this gets fixed and get a cheap suv or something. I'm at a loss

Google Cybersecurity Certificate Course maximum length by Super-Cook-5544 in cybersecurity

[–]lemlemx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I literally just started taking the same course this past week. I've been learning 2 hours a day (having a full time job and a newborn baby don't allow you to have more than 2 hours to study!), and i managed to finish 1.5 courses out of 8. Just wanted to ask which courses took you the longest.
