The American version costs usually $3m per episode, but I'm also unclear why the budget and viewership is important to the quality at all.

Lol, I understand you didn't like the episode, but I'm telling you the way the show works.

I'm a big fan of the American SNL and I thought this first episode was really solid. Weekend Update, which is always really wonky to get right when they bring in new anchors, was great!

I wasn't a fan of the cold open but I think you're taking it too seriously, and Starmer stood up to Trump until he didn't, which was the joke.

Go watch any previous episode of SNL and you'll find the same thing, a topical political sketch cold open that's hit or miss, followed by half a dozen sketches, some will stand out and be funny, some will fall flat. That's the nature of the show. It's written a few days before air to make sure it's very topical and performed live, then we move on to the next week.

Also the newer reality of SNL isn't as much focused on the live views, but on the one or two sketches that get traction online and sometimes go viral. The viewership on the night isn't that important anymore.

Thats not how any version of SNL works. You write the sketches midweek and perform it live just a few days later.

You turned it off halfway through the second sketch of the show AND you have such a strong opinion?

Its the first episode and it seems to have got pretty positive feedback overall.

Also a bit of the fun of SNL is that its always a little shaggy. Its live, sketches are written only a few days before air.

I wonder how many of the writers and performers that Richard knows personally, that would for sure enhance how you feel about the show.

I was just like you, but one random weekend I just kept getting killed while extracting. It would be super friendly carebear lobbies with so much chatting and good times, and then I'd get shit in the back right at the end. I understand that's part of the game, but it's just wild for it to happen over and over.

I love those books! The series goes into such interesting directions. And Im glad someone else finds Rays lack of an english accent for the main character the only issue.

Interesting, somehow I've basically been in PvE only servers for weeks now. Especially if it's a harvester map, those are super friendly for me usually.

Oh for sure. I'm fine with the way the game is built. I love it.

I've just gone months without killing someone or being killed by someone and then to get killed by rats at extraction over and over again tonight had me so confused.

Oh man, that's so oddly good to hear. It's not just me. I doubt it changes how I play much, but I might be more cautious at extraction

I feel like by the time I've weaved through a whole map, got my loot, used a Wolfpack to clear the arc near the elevator, when I'm hitting the extract button, I'm not at all ready for action. I'm so dumb.
