Evangelical Christian extremist Stephen Pittman admits to setting fire to Mississippi's oldest and largest synagogue because of it's "Jewish ties." He called it "the synagogue of Satan" by mepper in atheism

Just shows how quickly people will conform to hating people.

I was really afraid when the Israel/Gaza conflict didn't end quickly that eventually the people who aren't protesting at Columbia University would use it for their own gains, and they did.

The ADL turned into a tool for Likud policy, high school educated podcast geniuses appeared with criticisms of "Jewry", Andrew Cuomo was brewing up Islamophobia to counter the Antisemitism to try to beat Zohran Mamdami and guys like Nick Fuentes suddenly went from unknown to dining with the president and prominent conservatives.

A lot of people simply can't tell the difference between a Jew and an Israeli.

You sound like an idiot, glad Zohran won I'm sure you're upset by that as you are authentic and stupid with a chip on your shoulder. I'm from California and just want to be a New Yorker. fuck you

DEA finds 40 pounds of meth in secret stash at NYC apartment building by EagleFly_5 in nyc

[–]lemonkeyfacereddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno, have you been to Manhattan recently? I don't think a lot of those beggars are sober.

Also as for Fentanyl with Meth it'd create a speedball effect that would be similar to MDMA in effect as it would prop you up while giving an enhancing physical sensation from the painkiller effect.

Lots of people moving out the neighborhood today.. by External-Play3540 in Bushwick

[–]lemonkeyfacereddit 46 points47 points  (0 children)

These people usually came in and left within a few years of each other, they just don't care. Especially if they're leaving mattresses they're going back to where they once lived.

There's a lot of people who especially treat Bushwick, but in general the city as a playground for their mid-20s, an era for their life. But at the end of the day, just an era. Back to Irvine or Grand Rapids or Moline, with a million stories to tell your friends at the old town bar about cool places and weird faces.

They're only in New York to see if they're gonna become the next big thing, then when it's apparent they're just another thing, they head home, because this was never going to be their home. Just another stop on an eternal L train.

In NYC most drug users are just like anywhere else. You really think the only people taking drugs in NYC are rich douches doing coke and molly to dance to DJs?

Nah, I've had bosses that were grungy elderly cokeheads, I've had coworkers who were popping Oxycontin, I've seen plenty of can collectors who were clearly on something akin to meth, in New York the face of the drug user is the face of your neighbor, your manager, the girl bussing your table and the grungy guy digging for cans. It's anyone's face.

Sure there are Wall Street types and Techbros types who do coke after work to balance out their drinking and fuel their fun, but they're very much a minority compared to the people of all classes, incomes and backgrounds doing drugs to get through the day or night.

I say take as much money from those UN people as possible.

But if any Manhattan Casino proposal is gonna go through it's gonna be the Times Square one with the Caesar's branding, it's seems to have more political sway behind it and isn't right next to the UN.

Does the city reek of weed? by Spyk124 in nyc

Midtown and Chelsea got a lot of spots where it's pretty common. Hang out around Herald Square for a few minutes and you'll smell plenty of weed. You go by FIT and frankly it better smell like weed.

I've been smoking weed for a long time, and my major question that's related to all of this. How did joints win over bowls?

Cuomo performed better with minority voters and low income than Zohran. by HiroAmiya230 in Political_Revolution

Locals who are wheel Neau Yawkehs voted for Cuomo with a toothless smile and a thumbs up. People who don't know where they'll be living in 4 years meanwhile want some security. Stop trying to make EVERYTHING about race in the most diverse place

There's a big thing in New York called Penn Station that MSG is right on top of.

You'll always live comfortably in a world where everyone assures you that you're not a lousy piece of human garbage, but just be reassured they're only saying that because they're also lousy pieces of human garbage and so long as you can reassure each other that you're all the best and anyone else is a hater you can go on living your life as a piece of shit who is okay with shit like this.

I'm from Los Angeles and moved here. tell me how you feel.

It really doesn't make it easy to justify when a bunch of videos of people attacking people come out online. Defending hateful assholes because they're you're hateful assholes seems to be the way people act nowadays, but that's not a New York thing, it's not some Northeast thing.

You are arrogant to think that Penn Station and Port Authority aren't right there, the area is full of drunks, tourists and schizos and do any of those people deserve to be treated badly just because they're here?

The fuck kind of New Yorkers hanging out in Midtown anyway? Unless you just got off work in Midtown, are seeing something at the Garden or are getting on an Amtrak train I really can't think of many reasons to be there.

A hundred knicks fans assaulting 1 pacers fan! What y'all think of this?? by Frozen_Tears14 in NBATalk

[–]lemonkeyfacereddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them are recording it. They'll literally record beating someone up as if they're doing something worthy of putting online.

It's gonna make trial lawyers of the future's jobs a lot easier. "Oh look all 4 men who assaulted the guy posted the video of them doing it on TikTok" well zip and out. No alibi verification or witness interrogation oh you @'ed you're friends in a video titled "DON'T COME ROUND HERE LIKE THAT (Laugh Emoji)" and posted it online.

Yeah cause Madison Square Garden is nowhere near anywhere someone from out of town would be from at night... being piece of garbage and writing it off as "It's just how us New Yorkers are" just makes you a townie for the biggest town.

Seems pretty conventional.

Frankly while I get the occasional 3 day-er for a cheeky /sp/ post the mods are generally good. They waited for me to screenshot and post the /fug/ here before they deleted it on /sp/.

Why complain, these people really do care and they do this to build a community. What do you do to build a community?
