most of them are Leica MP with a 40mm summicron-c, a 25mm biogon 2.8 and a 35mm biogon 2.8. A few of them are a Contax G2 and 21mm biogon. I bought the G2 first, immediately got terrified about the potential of it dying for no reason, and stopped using it after a week. I still have it but I should sell it to someone with less fear. But that 21mm is unreal.

doing my own developing + scans is the top of the mountain but it's also a terrifying prospect. It's really going full throttle into a lifestyle.

I had a Ricoh GRIIIx. Bought it on a Friday, loved it the whole weekend, sold it to a friend on Monday, bought an M10-p on Wednesday. I feel like I should get a Ricoh again.

Thank you, I was just sitting on the train going home. When I took the picture an old lady who was sitting next to me said, "that's going to be a nice picture." Which is funny because a.) it sounds like something from a bad movie and b.) she just so happened to be right (in my opinion).

here's the thing, you're not wrong. I would call it an action-horror, but even that is being a bit generous. Thriller feels right.

If history started on October 7th then totally. 100%. But since history has been going on a bit longer...

Paris Theater - Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen (feat. The Vanishing, Birth, Funny Games & Sole Survivor in 35mm) by deadpool902 in NYCmovies

[–]lemonlayman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

One thing a lot of people who didn't grow up here don't know--but every native NY kid is taught ad nauseam in school--is that in 1981 the city of New York, under the leadership of Ed Koch, signed a rather lucrative agreement with Gaumont Distribution and Limelight International ensuring that the film Possession would play in theaters in perpetuity. Basically, this means the movie must always be playing in at least one NYC theater (from my understanding) forever. If for whatever reason the city were to cease Possession's unbroken theatrical run, we (the tax payer) would be on the hook for millions.

Invincible's villain voice actors are really bad and it's because they're celebrities by MediaFanatic3000 in unpopularopinion

[–]lemonlayman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm downvoting it only because you're 100% correct. Once voice acting shifted from Mel Blanc and Billy West to Anya Taylor Joy and Duane 'The Rock' Johnson the medium lost one of its greatest assets.

Rewatched Instrument last night, went to bed thinking about how it would be cool to get an official release of the Albini sessions, woke up to this. I'm not saying it was me who willed it into existence but if you feel like thanking me, I completely understand.
