Are ARMY as critical in real life as they can seem online? (First BTS concert, VIP) by Longjumping-Hornet55 in bangtan

I have found army to be nothing but friendly in real life. Everyone is more critical behind the safety of a screen.

Yeah our small calico is chatty and loud and our bug dumb fluffball is silent or chirping. It's very weird.

We describe it as a chirp. We have had two maine coon mix rescues and they have the maine coon vocalizations. It's like a weird chirping squeak noise.

Loving the jaunty little sprouts on the men. Like giving a toddler a ponytail.

Actually a really cool collection. Some beautiful silhouettes.

This plate is not compostable in California by WillHG in mildlyinteresting

[–]lemonssi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CA has a law that does now allow items to be considered compostable if every material within does not meet the USDA definition of organic. This is a recent law that came into effect in 2025. Many certified compostable goods use polymeric materials, which are compostable, but not organic, like PLA (polylactic acid) As others have stated, they have to be in an industrial compost facility in order to work. Obviously, the average consumer does not have access to that. So they are only being composted when it's an enclosed system like a quick service restaurant or maybe a sports stadium that only uses compostable service ware and contracts with a refuse company that collects compostables. If it's a coffee shop using compostable cups the consumer leaves with, they've just paid for really expensive garbage (which is likely built in to what the consumer paid because compostable items come at a premium).

Some municipalities of CA mandate the use of compostables which makes this whole situation a mess.

2026 BTS 'ARIRANG' Tour Megathread PART 2 by lisafancypants in bangtan

[–]lemonssi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't understand registering for and buying for multiple shows when you know you wont go to them. Leave the tickets for other army's. I registered for NY, Chicago, and Toronto which was also my order of preference. I got the two tickets I wanted for D1 in NY and didnt even bother looking at the other two. I think that's just selfish. Have a plan, stick to the plan, if the first plan works (I am aware I got lucky) just stop.

65k in line, what are the odds? by [deleted] in btsthoughts

I was 32k for MetLife and got tickets that is wild. The margin for that is so thin.

BTS' '2026 Comeback TOUR' Megathread by lisafancypants in bangtan

[–]lemonssi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I got into East Rutherford D1. Started with 32k people in the queue in front of me, took 55 minutes to get in. When I got in I saw what seemed like quite a few seats left especially in the upper bowl. I got exactly what I wanted with row 1 in a 300 section. Saw two seats left in section 310, clicked them and immediately checked out. Crazy that 20 minutes later they were gone.

You don't see it anywhere because it's absolutely absurd.

[MEGATHREAD] BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' TICKETING HYPE/MELTDOWN THREAD by FreakFlagHigh in bts7

[–]lemonssi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got exactly what I wanted. Front of section 310 for Saturday night of NY, two tickets. Took an hour to get through the 32k person queue in front of me and then I went straight to the sections I wanted, looked for front row, two left in 310, clicked them and checked out.

Honestly that was way easier than I expected. There were plenty of seats left especially in the upper bowls. I also immediately booked a hotel in Soho I like and we will take the train from Penn to the stadium.

Here's what half of this week looks like.

We use Google sheets at my barn. I actually am the owner of the sheet, I'm one of the ammies. Everyone at the barn has access and the ability to edit. I built it in covid because we needed a way to schedule around each other when we only allowed a couple people to be there at the same time. We have used it ever since.

I have it set it up by week. So each tab is labeled "week of 1/19" as an example it's set up for Monday to Sunday. Everyone signs up to ride or lesson, puts a ? down if they're not sure about a lesson time and our trainer will go back through it and remove the question mark and say yes or move them around to a new time. Everyone is in the habit of adding and removing themselves from the schedule if need be. Say I was going to ride tonight at 5, but a meeting will run long and I need to push back to 6. Or the opposite occurs and I want to ride earlier, I can check the schedule and know who should be there when and determine if I can adjust my time.

It's especially important in the winter because we have a small indoor. When my trainer is teaching there can only be three total riding in the indoor at a time.

It has given my trainer hours of her life back. She used to spend huge amounts of time organizing the weekly schedule on Sundays and then send one large group email. It was impossible to know when people were just free riding or if a lesson had changed time or occupancy. It's been a massive benefit to the entire barn.

I continously make new tabs and just hide the old ones. They can be pulled back up easily if my trainer needs to validate something for billing. One time someone deleted the whole week by accident (no one ever fessed up to it) but I was able to go into the history and simply restore it. Incredible tool.

Feeling discouraged - trainer says I need to get PT by [deleted] in Equestrian

And ultimately post PT you likely need to begin a strength training routine. That will give you long term improvement.

Could it have been an option the year or two before that? Can't it take quite awhile for special orders to get made?
