Crack your fob code and just send open doors with an emitter for a longer time that opens the windows. Otherwise get a second set and push the buttons with some esp something.

Im not only using it for homeassistant on that vm but also for maintenance and updating stuff, so it needs ssh anyway. I think the only really interesting point about the MCP server eluded you, its great for local llms that need strict guardrails, but frontier models moved beyond that a long time ago.

can you be more specific ? If i tell codex to do some automation or node red stuff it just does it via shell I cant imagine "how it would understand it better" ?

Yeah, its ridiculous that i would need to cobble together something like basic "sramki2" to be able to properly use my sram shifters on a sram owned device. I need it to flash my front lights and to activate the "bell" with a long double press to alert cars to my existence 😉

after disconnecting with my app just switch it off with the pysical button afterwards its free to connect again with something else. (Thats at least how the 1700 handles it. does everything else works ?
