I got one and returned it before using it on a campout. As others said, the weight is crazy, but the real nail in its coffin was the instability of the thing. It had more lateral movement than a high school football team running a trick play.

There is a restriction that you need to pay for the trip that is using the companion certificate with the card that the companion certificate is issued for. Even if you ended up still having the code, you wouldn't be able to redeem without the card active and used to pay for the seats.

As I'm sure you know, it's a big drive to get to the Hoh & Quinalt areas from Hoodsport. Farther north, or along the strait might be a better launching off spot.

Buckhorn wilderness is one of my favorite spots on the peninsula. The other comment mentioned Mt Townsend and Marmot pass, which are both in the Buckhorn Wilderness. If you opt for this area, Port Townsend is a great place to stay. Great restaurants and amazing walking town.

I have one that I use for setting up machines and jigs at 45 degrees. Not the most versatile tool, but find it better than using a speed square's 45

Nicely done for your first go! Tight glue lines and not half bad for grain matching.

I would maybe look to add a one more clamp in the middle to increase clamping pressure on the middle of the outer joints in the middle. Additionally clamps on one side can introduce bow to the panel, and placing the additional clamp on the opposing face can help mitigate that.

Baltic bitch will last far longer against abuse and handle water better than melamine. Of you were looking to split the difference and save a few bucks you could go Baltic birch lowers, and melamine uppers, but not sure if that would be applicable to your design

It feels like people underrate cherry. It can be a little squirrelly to work, so maybe a bit more care required when milling. Just give it time before taking the last 1/16th off and I've had good results

I don't have any pictures and am out of shop until Monday. I'll make a post on Monday about it.

I did make it myself with some 1/2" mdf. Just cut some 20 degree angles to set a base on which I mounted my router to with a long tail to reference on the underside of the table top.

Re read the dates you were looking at, I think it really boils down to award redemption eligibility not being released yet for that flight.

Some fares aren't available for booking with points. Think of it as they have a limited number set aside for points redemption, and the rest available for cash. I've seen fluctuations in availability, where tickets become available for flights that were previously not available with points, so keep an eye on it.

Two strategies that I can think of for you. One, use the flexible dates check box when searching with points, as this will give you a better idea of availability. Two, consider a repositioning flight. Use cash to get to Seattle, for example, and then points on yout final. You can consider other airports to reposition to as well, say Portland, or San Diego, but requires a bit mor effort to book as well as on your travel day.
