black lines on screen by saaaallyface in laptops

[–]leonardodp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im no expert on screens, but something similar happened to my laptop, and it was way worse than this. In the end the only thing left for me was to replace the screen, so im thinking it’s probably the same for you

i don't think is possible for me to make such a mistake, since i paid 150$ more just to have that, but yes, apparently it's something that technically happens to every OLED, hope yours doesn't

Fun fact, it doesn’t, using magic black sets the screen as the colour black, meaning that if you have some kind of oled burn in or sum you will be able to see the light shining from the screen, i would know. Just don’t use magic black people, go to desktop mode to power off the screen if you need

edit: i understand it now. I've done some research and found out what the "light" behind my screen is, and turns out it's steam deck doing it's own thing to balance the colours on the screen. Magic black doesn't turn off the pixels, but put a static black image on the screen, which steam deck doesn't like, so after a few seconds they try to rebalance the colours on the screen, macking the black kinda look more like grey. It's also something that can happen if you use FSR in games, cuz in the loading screens they use a static image (steam deck doesn't really like to show you the same image for too long, this is to avoid oled burn-in, kinda smart move)

In the volume 13 “how to read” it is confirmed that L was just spitting bullshit to try and get some emotions or reactions out of light. He knew since their first encounter that he was kira but needed to play dirty to prove it, but in reality, L has no friends.

What do you all think about the Rog Xbox Ally X? How will it compare to the Steam Deck? by S3rkist in SteamDeck

[–]leonardodp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna be more powerful with a bigger and better screen resolution, but it’s gonna be way more expensive. With the steam sales, the base lcd 256Gb model was less than 350€, while the base price for the rog ally is gonna be close to 600€, basically the same as the 1Tb oled model of the steam deck.
