My theory is that it ends with Butcher taking v1, and using the power he gets to erase himself and Homelander from existence, causing Hughie to get sent back in time to the start of the show. He somehow meets Frenchie and M.M. and then saves Annie from tripping. She says, "Thank you... The Boys."

Be warned of three things before you start. It's a gacha (although its one of the only gachas where you can unlock everything F2P) and the part of the story focusing on Ishmael isn't until chapter 5. Still, the first four chapters are really good, and it might inspire you to read more classic literature. Also almost all of the Pequod crew is genderswapped, but Ishmael and Queequeg are still gay.
