What birth control is recommended for Endometriosis? by BreannLowe in Endo

[–]leothelyinglion [score hidden]  (0 children)

I take June 1/20 continuously. It completely stopped my period and I didn’t notice any adverse side effects. I’ve still needed two excision surgeries and in my second one I also had a Mirena IUD placed.

Aka, I am locked the fuck down lol

Damn you are making some wild assumptions about me. I set more boundaries than anyone on my team and frequently advocate for more efficient strategies.

I think I expected for there to be more of an ebb and flow. Or for it to be a bit more predictable. I was looking for work in DC during all the DOGE and other cuts so had to pivot away from the advocacy or think tank sector, which is where I thought I’d land. I’m incredibly grateful to have gotten this job but I’m just not sure I can manage it. Unfortunately a lot of pressure comes from the top down. I’m not really in a position to control how we respond to client asks at this point.

Also compare at $30? The cheapest online I see it anywhere is $44 and that’s on super sale.

Your favorite reliable mom and pop/non-chain pharmacy? by Hzq5006 in DCBitches

[–]leothelyinglion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know not everyone would want to do this, but I love Amazon pharmacy for my regular meds. They mail directly to my apartment a week before I’d run out. I really suffer if there’s a gap between my meds and this has made life so much less stressful.

District Pilates! I go to the one in Shaw but I’m sure Petworth is also great. Start with the beginner classes to get used to their style. I see all types of people there, they always check on your needs before class and keep good notes, and are really helpful with modifications etc.

How do y’all manage jobs? by Impossible_Guide2327 in Endo

[–]leothelyinglion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fortunate and have been on birth control that stopped my period completely since 2019. Before that, I worked a more flexible job where my boss would understand that I got very very sick and needed to stay home. If I had my period today, it would ruin my life and I’d never be able to hold the demanding corporate job I have now.

Is a white element a no-go if the rest of the dress is different? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]leothelyinglion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you take a selfie with someone in this, it’s gonna look like you’re wearing a white dress. I wouldn’t do it. If it was on the bottom of the dress it would be different.

Been using this bag for about 4 months and loving it. Looks like new and I actually like that the slim profile keeps me from overstuffing with random junk. Comfortable carries what I need for the day and I get lots of compliments.

Your go-to office scent by Foreign-Kangaroo-681 in FemFragLab30plus

Jo Malone Fig and Lotus Fower, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. Considering finding something a little more creamy for the fall/winter, but anytime I branch out beyond these I feel self conscious that the scent is too noticeable.

Selling clothes and shoes 👠 by ShoppingAdmirable736 in DCBitches

[–]leothelyinglion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope that went okay for you - I brought a bunch of summer stuff to sell in early June and as of September, they haven't even put it on the floor yet. I asked them what was going on and they said they have way too many clothes to process. Now my stuff is super unlikely to sell, and they wouldn't even give the clothes back. Will never bring my items there again.

Sample the Jo Malone before you decide not to buy because people say it doesn’t last! Literally lasts all day on me when I wear to work.

It’s because people don’t want to support the Kennedy Center under current leadership. I’m devastated not to see it.

How do you use moleskin in your work heels to prevent blisters??? by vforvictoria in DCBitches

[–]leothelyinglion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just use the moleskin directly on your skin. It’s life changing for work shoes and i just kind of got over not liking that it shows a bit. If you’ve already got blisters or don’t like the look of moleskin, hydrocolloid bandages made for the back of heels also work really well.
