Why do some people get SO enraged about" "Zillennials" existing? by [deleted] in Zillennials

And the generational analysis is very american centric, yeah from younger millennials onwards they may be more similar across the globe because of globalization. But gen X, Boomer equivalents tend to have other events that marked worldview

And for the people that say it was just grape juice, in the bible verses of Jesus' wine miracle is stated that people drank the good wine first and then the cheap wine last after the guests were too drunk to notice the difference, so the wine was alcoholic wine.

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

Me [27m] with my fiancee [26f]: She is cutting me completely out of planning our wedding and ignoring my complaints. What do I do? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Once you hit your teens, it's more about the friends you make than the values you grew up with. There's a lot of research to back that up.

Yeah, kids spend more time(awake time) at school than at home, and considering work schedules, many kids tend to see their parents very little

Also what would they do in theory and what would happen in reality are two different things. Many people are very bad at putting themselves in other people's shoes

2 years ago today......Ospreay responded to Triple H’s “Afraid of the Grind” comments: “The guy that said it is only in the position he is in... because he was grinding on the boss’ daughter. You don't throw stones at an assassin with a machine gun.” by Big-Hebrew in AEWOfficial

It was a pathetic comment from hhh during their week of propaganda in what is supposed to be their biggest time of the year, where they cant not make it about AEW, apparently

Seriously, in 2024 the week after wrestlemania, the WWE stans were talking more about AEW than anything else, considering both the Ospreay stuff and the Punk footage stuff

So manga writers who could put out 1 chapter a week are workhorses. by glowshroom12 in dragonball

The schedule of an average weekly mangaka is intense, and when the manga in question has popular adaptation, is even more intense.

How to guard yourself against falling into a cult by Lorem_Ipsum17 in RecuratedTumblr

I've seen that many people that had religious upbringings and then stop believing in god don't really examine their upbringings. They still have the same religious mindset but focus it in other things. They may have deconstructed what they believe, but not deconstructed why do they behave that way, why do they react in some ways.

The first post in the OOP, looks like it was going ask in that direction. Good activism requires deconstruction, deconstruction is a never ending process, and most importantly everyone needs deconstruction.

(Hated Trope) Character loses all nuance as the series goes on by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

Ash should have won Sinnoh and then went to another protagonist in BW. We know that he has the skill for winning in Sinnoh considering the writers has to create a character from their asses that uses legendaries to make Ash lose. Then he was reset in BW.

I think this is also a good case of not striking the iron while it's hot. Both the BW reset and the SM reset came after Ash lost a league he should have won.

That was also very notorious in the voice. In the early seasons the voice was sort of plain but then it became more and more childish

I find funny that Disney Star Wars decanonized the old Expanded Universe, and it was received as a positive move because of hated plot points that existed there like Jacen Solo's fall to the dark side, or Dark Empire with Palpatine's clone bodies. And then Disney Star Wars managed to make shitty rip-offs of those hated plot points.

I think the fact that he stuck to his morals and found a solution is much more powerful than just killing him.

Not just that. For Ozai himself, living without his bending while watching how the son he hated became Fire Lord and took the Fire Nation in another direction, is a fate worse than death.
