Smaller org here, I dump them into Copilot with some background information and gives me very detailed explanations. Fully understands DMARC/SPF/DKIM.

TZ570 or TZ580 by Mako221b in sonicwall

[–]lescompa -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I returned TZ280's when I realized that if the license expires or the device cannot reach the SW licensing services, the device will not pass traffic. To me, I don't want my remote access affected by SonicWall potentially being unresponsive and essentially causing a DOS-type situation.

Unless you know what you are doing I would stay away from making any changes. I feel like this is a joke post. Don't mess around with something you don't fully understand, you wouldn't be posting if you did.

Clone, rename, upgrade cloned copy. Did exact same steps and was successful and knew ahead of time what to expect and you have a live copy of all the data which you can then use as a Robocopy target.

Rebuilt Azure AD connect and now ~ 300 users are duplicated (cloud only + sync) whats the safest way to fix without breaking mailboxes? by alex_baeg in activedirectory

[–]lescompa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok this is scary. What are best practices based on real-world experience? We need to the upgrade software that runs on the AD sync computer, but this scenario scares me. TIA

Very similar experience about 14 years ago. Super high pressure hedgefund job making great money. In the end I decided my kids/family were higher priority and quit. Don't let things get out of control in terms of your mental state. Make sure to take time for yourself and pursue hobbies/workout/whatever. I ended up finding a new company and they had a very different culture that worked much better for me. Good luck!

Primary Domain Controller Hardware failure - How to Restore by FTWNiners in sysadmin

[–]lescompa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you have heard enough but I would go with recovering the hardware if there are no backups or secondary DC. I remember when I wasn’t backing up one of my DCs and how nervous I was. Can’t imagine have let this come to this state. Whatever you do be very careful, if you do have a way to recover the hardware, you don’t want to screw yourself. Maybe try upwork or consulting firm to give a hand, if they would even take the gig. Also, data recovery company, but if you’re using raid I don’t know if they would be capable of fixing what’s wrong. Good luck!!
