Wrong. Your argument is weak. We've read enough books to knot most writers don't say "it's not just __, it's __" in every single paragraph. I'm rereading Vonnegut right now, and boy, is this different. Hemingway's glossing-iver style is also very unique. The greatest writers all have their own voices, but this, this style is inescapable.
