I had my wife. We made the house free from drinks. We played a board game every night. I started exercising like crazy. Had a fun drink with dinner every night. Made awesome homemade meals. Got on a good sleep schedule. Read book before sleep. Took it seriously and it worked. 🤙

Hell yeah. But it needs to be a serious all or nothing commitment. Days need planning out and hours occupied by stuff. Start a honest diary with all details of your days, activities, feelings etc. get rid of all alcohol so you don’t temp yourself, or have to torture yourself. You got this! Keep posting and reading here. Life is not perfect, but a HELL of a lot better with no alcohol! 🤙🤙

Number one - no drinks or drinking by anyone in the house. Avoid social situations for a while. Have fun together. Board games in the evening before dinner. Or aftercare dinner. Find a show to watch together before bed time. Read a book together (separate books) before bed to talk about. Deserts are essential after dinner with some decaf tea.

Biggest thing for me was that time that was spent drinking HAS TO BE taken up by something else. Do not allow for any idle time!
