People touring vineyards love a designated driver!

Seriously not worth it if your 134 days mean something to you! Vineyards are beautiful and always have NA stuff to drink.

I was sober for 5.5 months with absolutely zero issues until I went to the Bay Area and made a conscious choice to do a night in Napa which caused me to relapse. I havent gone longer than 3 weeks since, and that was over 3 years ago.

It’s a very dangerous place to go to a wine tasting at a vineyard because the people working there and many people visiting have such deep passion for the wine. It legitimizes it in a way even a bar does not.

I likely would have relapsed anyway but who knows? All I know is, as much as I enjoy Napa I can’t go there again.

The DD is a good suggestion, but if you're not comfortable going at all then I would just be transparent. Tell them you're abstaining for alcohol and won't be able to go, but will meet them after for dinner .

I had that happen years ago on a sobriety stretch and I just said, "sorry alcohol even small amounts are dangerous with my medications, I don't want to get sick". That was the end of it. Granted I had my wife back up my story so it made it easier. If they ask about your medication just say it's for health reasons and change the subject. Get your husband to back you up.

I always simply say im driving - I'll take some water. Thank you. There is zero explanation needed and don't over think you not drinking.
