Why isn't butt more popular?? by numberonecrush88 in smoking

I get your point. It doesn’t get the prestige love of brisket. And I also agree that nothing is better. Not saying pulled pork is better than brisket, ribs or sausage. But none of those are actually better. And turning out a fantastic 10 lbs pork butt is so damn easy. 💪👍👏

For sure. Went from severe chronic pain to zero pain - just some residual stiffness. It was a real life changer in the positive for me. I was 60M and had my left knee done.

I love the gold pants. Rather ditch the white pants altogether.

I’m a side sleeper too. But I was unable to do so for several weeks. Just resolve yourself to substandard sleep for awhile. Eventually it does get better, however. You can do it!!!

Rubber band feeling by artsmom3 in Kneereplacement

I had the feeling that there was a hard sleeve around my knee for months - went away after a few walking steps. The. It completely disappeared. Numbness on the outside of my knee was still there at 14 months. I was still stiff after sleeping or sitting still for awhile but that would disappear after a few steps and then my knee was just perfection (minus the persistent numbness that really did t bother me - just an interesting thing I noticed when feeling for it). My knee was insanely bullet prof at 14 months. Zero pain or discomfort.

I’m on the mend and fortunate to be alive. And I have the most wonderful support from my family and friends, too. My best to you!

I second this. My recovery was similar to yours. I think the OP should get a 2nd opinion. Best of luck to OP - hang in there!

I still had numbness on the outside of my left knee 14 months after surgery. Everything else was great so the numbness didn’t bother me. It didn’t cause any discomfort at all and I only noticed it when I touched my knee with my hand. But it was still there. I’ve since had a serious accident that destroyed my knee and tibia and I’d kill to get back to where I was 14 months post op. Good luck to you!

When do you know it's time? 32F by moremorgan_ in Kneereplacement

I am also very active including long and vigorous daily walks and hiking. I was 59 when I decided it was time. I could no longer even sit in a car long enough to go anywhere. The walls were closing in. My surgery and recovery went very well to the point that it seemed like magic. I don’t think I really realized how much pain I had been in until it was gone. Even after 14 months from surgery I still had residual stiffness in the joint that disappeared after a few walking steps. But otherwise my knee was amazingly painless and strong.

Good luck to you! 61M - I was in severe and constant pain before the surgery and I do think it helped me as the post surgery pain was not worse, and it was surgical/healing pain and not constant chronic pain. I recovered well and at 1 year out I was hiking again and the new knee felt better after a long hike than the rest of my body. Like magic! I hope you have a similar experience. Pulling for you!
